preview  Iron Maiden preview  Senjutsu (2021) 50/100    Sep 6, 2021
Senjutsu Ok so I will approach this album by listing how I felt about individual songs. I adore Iron Maiden's classic albums, but it has been a while since I heard anything other than middling LPs from them. Which is a huge bummer.

Also sorry for lack of any cohesion beforehand, because I'm writing this to curb my urge to do anything and everything. If you have problems, please fill my med bottle. Thanks.

Album cover - so, Apple Music says "Eddie, in full samurai regalia was immediately appealing". Bollocks. It is just a poorly rendered 3D model of Eddie. As someone else said, this is some boomer wapanese shit.

1. Senjutsu - There are guitar melodies which are payoffs without any setup. From 5 minute mark and onward they are decent, but before that, those solos are real doozy. You cannot j ... See More

preview  Bring Me the Horizon preview  Post Human: Survival Horror (2020)  [EP] 90/100    Nov 17, 2020
Post Human: Survival Horror As soon as I started the album, 'Dear Diary,' blasted my eardrums off. I got the feeling that it is the most similar to 'Crucify Me'. Nothing is better than biting off a beloved album from their past when a band is in creative cul-de-sac, right? However, after listening to the whole album, I realized that this EP is more respectable than I thought at first.

Yes, this is their attempt at return to the source. Breakdowns in multiple songs, heavier sounds (than amo), and lyrics embodying millennial anger. But let's not reduce this EP to that, since there are a few things BMTH pulled off spectacularly (at least from my point of view).

To start off, it achieves the perfect balance between their recent albums and past albums. There are obvious pop music influences such as enthralling chor ... See More

preview  Metallica preview  Hardwired... to Self-Destruct (2016) 60/100    Feb 22, 2017
A Place for My Head, No More Sorrow를 원하는데 리드 싱글이랍시고 내놓은 게 Chainsmokers 앨범에나 수록될만한 곡이니 웃긴 일입니다.

See More

preview  Dream Theater preview  Octavarium (2005) 90/100    Aug 12, 2013

'Finally Free'의 백색 소음이 'The Glass Prison'과 이어지고, 'Losing Time/Grand Finale'의 신스 ... See More

preview  The Who preview  Who's Next (1971) 95/100    Dec 16, 2012
Who's Next

See More

Rising preview  Rainbow preview  Rising (1976) 95/100    Oct 15, 2022
For some classics, you listen to them as a baby metalhead and go 'wow, this is good!' and give high score. After some time, you revisit them and they turn out to be even better than the first time you've heard. This is one of those classics. Besides that I find lyrics to Do You Close Your Eyes to be kind of trite, this album is jaw dropping. Especially Stargazer. I haven't heard a song more epic than this.

White Pony preview  Deftones preview  White Pony (2000) 100/100    Oct 15, 2022
If we discount Back to School as a song shoehorned by the label, this album is fucking perfect. Instrumentation in every song is downright impeccable, and Maynard Keenan in Passenger... c'mon, is this a real life?
Kyuss (Welcome to Sky Valley) preview  Kyuss preview  Kyuss (Welcome to Sky Valley) (1994) 100/100    Feb 21, 2022
This album is literally revival of old school rock riffs with different mixing. How can this be so fucking good? I have no idea.

Got this album recommended by some hipster. Turns out this album is pretty good. Maybe because I'm a huge hipster too. Third track is my favorite. Every track is so fucking chaotic like my twitter feed that it makes me less suicidal while scrolling.

Halo preview  Amorphis preview  Halo (2022) 90/100    Feb 21, 2022
This sounds like Amorphis; the same Amorphis that they have been. Which is exactly why I'm giving this album Very Good. Their trademark guitar work, which is elegant as an upstream river as always, is still there. Plus, the contrast between harsh and clean vocal never fails to picture a sonically distinct view. I don't know what to expect more.
