In my opinion this album contains leftovers from "stare into death and be still". It is good but lacks in originality and surprise.

처음 접한 이들의 앨범이다. 2000년대의 새롭게 나타난 밴드와 좀 더 크로스오버되고 있는 음악에 대해서는 예전 것에 비해 잘은 모르지만 데스가 이렇게 변해가는구나 라는 것을 느꼈다. 설사 최근 음악의 유형에 익숙하지 않다 하더라도 분위기에 깊숙히 빠져들었다.

Ulcerate 앨범 중 가장 서정적인 면이 강한 것 같습니다 듣기 편해요 Best Track: To Flow Through Ashen Hearts

듣기 좋은데 작품성까지 거머쥐었다. 이렇게 곡을 만들고 곡과 곡을 배치하는것이 능글스럽게 느껴지게 잘한다. 올해의 음반 후보.

테크니컬하면서도 반복적인 전개가 상당히 기묘한 분위기를 연출한다. 충분히 인상적인 신작.

Ulcerate na albume "Cutting the Throat of God" ponúkajú Extreme Metal, ktorý by sa dal lepšie charakterizovať ako kombinácia Death/Doom Metal -u s prvkami Blacku. Rýchlejšie pasáže sa striedajú s pomalšími, tvrdosť hlavne vytvárajú bicie a rev (blackovo orientovaný growling), ktorý je na mňa však monotónny. Gitary sú skôr postavené na vyhrávkach. Nevýhodou albumu je, že som mal pocit, akoby som počúval jednu veľmi dlhú pieseň.

I can see this band has some diehard fans, and I must say they deserve every one of them. This whole album is so heavy through & through, but the immense beauty is there the whole time as well. I'm still astounded. I wish track 6 didn't fade out, but still this is one great recording.
