너무도 익숙한 러셀의 보컬에서 잠시 벗어나 새로운 심포니엑스를 듣는 그맛이 일품이다. Rod의 보컬이 나쁘진 않지만 힘있는 중음대 영역에 대체로 머물고 고음에서 확장되지 않아 0.5% 덜시원함을 느끼게 된다는게 치명적. 그래도 Masquerade, A lesson before dying 등등을 듣다보면 마이클의 작곡력과 연주력은 어쩌면 데뷔작에서 더 날카롭고 경의롭다는 느낌.
