1997년 데모 한 장과 미니앨범 All Alone을 제작한 후에 내놓은 The Sins Of Thy Beloved 의 정규데뷔작 Lake Of Sorrow이다. 아름다운 바이올린 멜로디를 들을 수 있는 앨범으로 Theatre Of Tragedy의 Velvet Darkness They Fear와 비견될만한 완성도를 가지고 있다고 평가된다. 저음의 기타리프, 웅장한 스트링사운드위에 Anita Auglend의 청아한 보이스와 피아노, 바이올린등이 올라탄 형식을 취하고 있는 앨범으로 격정적이고 슬프면서도 차분한 분위기를 가지고 있다. 중반 깊은 음율의 처량한 바이올린연주가 청자를 압도하는 Until The Dark등을 수록하고 있다.
