Can't go wrong with this era of Virgin Steele. Every song, great riffs, passionate vocals, and now, even very aggressive drumming. Great mix of Power Metal with more traditional USPM, and symphonic touches for good measure.   Jan 27, 2024

Is it one of Slayer's weakest albums? Sure. is it still phenomenal to me? You bet! Some of these songs are seriously dark, even for Slayer, creating a very moody yet modern sound here. Some of the songwriting here is super interesting. The band mixes melodies and chord progressions that sound happy or uplifting, but then add some dissonant... er, harmonies on top that just make it sound unnerving. Very unique stuff. 퀸 앨범 중 a night at opera와 더불어 제일 좋아하는 앨범이다. 메탈 팬도 들으면 생각보다 센 곡도 있다. 1LP 버전들은 길이 때문에 2, 5,10,11이 줄어서 들어갔다. 총 53분이면 음질에 영향받을 것 같지 않은데 말이다. 그래서인지 2015년에 2lp 버전도 발매했다. 1,12 진짜 좋고 12번 같은 경우에는 종종 락 보컬들이 커버하는 영상을 많이 볼 수 있다.   Apr 6, 2024

블랙모어가 딥퍼플에서 나와서 좋은 것은 rainbow식 음악도 들을 수 있게 되었다는 점이다. 아주 아주 특이한 감성을 갖고 있는 사람이다. 아주 헤비한 락이면서도 부분 부분 포크적인 느낌도 있고 쓰잔함도 갖고 있다. 당대의 3대장하고는 다른 맛을 느낄 수 있다. 1,4,6이 대표곡. 3번은 quatarmass 9번은 yardbirds 커버곡이다. 희한하게 LP의 양면 라벨이 바뀐 것도 있다.   Apr 16, 2024

리치가 베이스를 1–3, 6를 연주했다. 그 외의 스튜디오는 밥 데이즐리 연주. 어렸을 때에는 1,5를 굉장히 좋아했었는데 문제는 5를 라센 시기에는 듣질 못했었다. 지금은 오히려 4번 같은 곡이 애청곡이 되었다. 앨범으로 기준으로도 1,2집보다 더 좋아했던 기억이 있다. 8번은 역시나 디오의 또 다른 보컬 맛을 느끼기 좋은 곡. 디오 재적시의 앨범은 영원할 것 같다.   6 days ago

3인조 코로너의 전 앨범 특히 2,3,4집을 좋아합니다. 옛날에 3집을 LP로 구입했었는데 속지에 시계, 스위스, 큰 글자로 '그로테스크' 라고 적힌 기억이.. 이후 90년대 중후반에 걸쳐서 전 앨범을 시디로 하나씩 모았죠. 30년간 신보를 안 내고 재결성 후에 아직도 활동하는 것도 특이한데, 그만큼 고정팬들이 많다는거 거겠죠.   2 days ago
