Therapy? definitely dropped down a few tiers with this one. Some of the songs are just unpleasant and don't make much sense from a songwriting perspective, like they didn't know what they were doing. However, it's got a surprising amount of great songs hidden right smack in the middle as well. These can go toe to toe with their best. But as a hole, very unfocused.   Jan 21, 2024

This was a huge surprise to me! Pyogenesis capitalized on catchy songwriting, but added energy and emotion. It's passionate, catchy, and I couldn't stop coming back for more. Very enjoyable record, if you can get past the slightly unconventional vocal delivery (for this genre).   Jan 21, 2024

What a unique record. There are incredibly strong parts, mostly focused on the doomier sections with brilliant guitar harmonies. 블랙모어가 딥퍼플에서 나와서 좋은 것은 rainbow식 음악도 들을 수 있게 되었다는 점이다. 아주 아주 특이한 감성을 갖고 있는 사람이다. 아주 헤비한 락이면서도 부분 부분 포크적인 느낌도 있고 쓰잔함도 갖고 있다. 당대의 3대장하고는 다른 맛을 느낄 수 있다. 1,4,6이 대표곡. 3번은 quatarmass 9번은 yardbirds 커버곡이다. 희한하게 LP의 양면 라벨이 바뀐 것도 있다.   Apr 16, 2024

리치가 베이스를 1–3, 6를 연주했다. 그 외의 스튜디오는 밥 데이즐리 연주. 어렸을 때에는 1,5를 굉장히 좋아했었는데 문제는 5를 라센 시기에는 듣질 못했었다. 지금은 오히려 4번 같은 곡이 애청곡이 되었다. 앨범으로 기준으로도 1,2집보다 더 좋아했던 기억이 있다. 8번은 역시나 디오의 또 다른 보컬 맛을 느끼기 좋은 곡. 디오 재적시의 앨범은 영원할 것 같다.   Apr 20, 2024

3인조 코로너의 전 앨범 특히 2,3,4집을 좋아합니다. 옛날에 3집을 LP로 구입했었는데 속지에 시계, 스위스, 큰 글자로 '그로테스크' 라고 적힌 기억이.. 이후 90년대 중후반에 걸쳐서 전 앨범을 시디로 하나씩 모았죠. 30년간 신보를 안 내고 재결성 후에 아직도 활동하는 것도 특이한데, 그만큼 고정팬들이 많다는거 거겠죠.   Apr 25, 2024

판매량은 골드 정도 찍었다. 미국보다 she's gone때문에 한국에서 더 인기가 좋았지 않나 싶다. 하지만 i'll never let you go가 더 뛰어난 발라드라고 생각한다. 스키드로의 quicksand jusus처럼 조금은 덜 알려졌지만 더 마음을 찢는 느낌. 이 앨범은 굳이 시디로 재구매까지는 안하다가 2년전인가 올만에 듣다가 살 정도로 생각보다 괜찮은 앨범이라는 판단이 들어서였다.   Apr 8, 2024

오늘 하루 지쳤거나 우울한 분들께 보내는 아름다운 멜로디인 것 같습니다. 길을 잃고 헤매는 자들을 위해 어두운 밤 하늘에서 별빛을 비추는 느낌을 받은 것 같습니다만 아쉬운 건 트랙이 진행될수록 점점 앨범의 느낌이나 분위기 또한 늘어져 길 잃고 헤매는 느낌을 받았습니다. 그래도 전작이 너무 강해서 그렇지 이 앨범도 좋습니다.   Apr 9, 2024
