토니 아이오미의 리프 생산 능력이 극한에 달한 앨범

Very strong and sounds much different than the debut and Paranoid. "Sweet Leaf", "Children of the Grave", "Into the Void" and "After Forever" are the best.

"Master of Reality" is Black Sabbath's third studio album released as previous two by Vertigo Records. Album is now considered as one of the greatest Rock/Metal albums of all time, while on release received many negatively reactions by critics. It is regarded as the foundation of doom / stoner / sludge metal. Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler downtuned their instruments during the production, achieving bigger, heavier sound.

1번트랙 Sweet Leaf 만으로도 끝장난다.

I forgot how good this is. The sound is perfect.

전작이 헤비메탈 사운드를 정립한 명반이었다면, 본 앨범은 둠이나 슬러지 메탈 등에 큰 영향을 줌. 다만 개인적으로 사이키델릭한 스타일이 취향이 아니라 선호하지는 않는 앨범. 그래도 'After Forever', ' Children of the Grave' 같은 명곡들은 필청 트랙.

가장 처음 산 블랙 사바스의 시디...구리게 들리는 음악이 좋을 수 도 있다는 것을 처음 알았다....

사바스가 왜 둠/스토너의 아버지인지 한큐에 보여주는 앨범.

Le Heavy Metal le plus lourd qui soit

단단하고 무겁고 진중한 사운드 !! 중간 중간 어쿠스틱한 느낌도 멋지다.

이 앨범 속 모든 악기들의 선율이 각각의 존재감을 과시하면서도 완벽하게 융합된다. 특히 After Forever를 눈 감고 들으면 형용하기 어려운 거대한 덩어리가 연상된다. 가끔은 우주를 유영하는 기분도 든다

2집의 기조를 잇는 명반. 'Children Of The Grave'와 'Into The Void'는 정말 뛰어나다.

스토너 메탈의 완벽한 프로토 타입. 이런 음질을 목표로 녹음하고 믹싱하진 않았겠지만 결과적으로 모든 슬럿지, 스토너 메탈의 시작이되었다. 음악과 연주 역시 스토너의 완벽한 표본이다.

Oh yeah. Their albums were already great, but here is where they get particularly fun. The thick bog of the first song, and the last tracks NASTY grooves both span a lot of variety composition-wise. Also bear in mind that on this one album, lyrics take us from potheads, to defending the christian church, to people flying into the sun to somehow start a new life, and there's also soul stealing. All in a day's work for Black Sabbath.

Into the void..., heaviness finds its definition

오지시절 최고의 작품이라 평가받는 앨범. 다만 너무 빈틈이없어 그러는지 개인적으론 1,2 집보다 매력이 약간 떨어진다.

전작이 유명한곡들과 그렇지 않은곡들 간의 편차가 심해 때론 지루하게 들리는 반면, 본작은 강약 조절도 잘 되 있고 해비하고 지루함 없이 골고루 아주 좋습니다.

Album of the day #111. Black Sabbath - Master of Reality. It was the only Sabbath album to get into the top 10 until their new release 13. Proving Billboard knows nothing. LOL It went double platinum. Not a lot of radio airplay on this one, that's why I do albums, this baby rocks from start to finish. 더욱 묵직해지고 심오해진 사운드

My number 3 favorite Black Sabbath album

흠 잡을 곳이 없는 말 그대로 명반.

멤버들이 마약빨면서 대충 대충 만든 앨범. 1분도 안되는 어쿠스틱 연주곡 2개, 같은 리프만 계속 반복하고 러닝타임도 34분밖에 안되는 EP수준의 분량으로 정규앨범으로 사기쳐서 나옴. 그런데 진짜 어이없는게 블랙사바스 앨범 중 제일 좋음. 역시 예술은 노력이 아니라 재능으로 한다는걸 몸소 보여주는 앨범. 이 앨범은 둠 스토너 슬럿지 장르의 시초가 된다.

단단한 리프가 헤비메탈의 금자탑을 위한 터를 다집니다. 본작은 블랙사바스 헤비니스의 절정입니다. 전 포지션이 완벽히 각자의 역할을 수행하고 있습니다. 꿈틀거리는 듯한 베이스 라인과 절묘하게 맞아떨어지는 드러밍이 인상적입니다. 중간의 소품같은 트랙들이 안그래도 완벽한 작품의 완성도를 더욱 높여주며 특유의 몽환적, 염세적 감성까지 느껴집니다.

전작보다 느림에도 무겁고 어두운 분위기가 약해져 아쉽지만 여전히 좋다

전체적인 분위기는 기억나지만 사실 개인적으로 4번, 7번곡 말고는 잘 생각이 안나는..

이 음반보다 더 라우드한 음반은 많아도 더 헤비한 음반은 거의 못들어본것 같다.
