Ruthless na albume "The Fallen" ponúkajú starú školu Heavy Metal -u s občasnými prvkami Power. Hudba, ako aj štýl piesní dosť čerpá z NWOBHM, pričom ani sa nedá čudovať, keďže kapela vznikla v roku 1982 a prvé album vydala v roku 1986 (plus EP dva roky dopredu, čiže v r. 1984). Here's my pick of the day. It's also another band for me to catch up on. I find the doom elements somewhat on the sludge side, which is fine with me. There's also some industrial metal and some electronica. Anyway, 'Despair' is a great word for these powerful songs; the emotional distress is palpable & believable. The band has done a good job of blending different musical elements in a classy way. Each track has heavier and lighter sections modulated by the dynamics of vocals and the sophisticated use of instruments. Structure-wise, it sounds a bit formulaic due to the too many middle sections led by the piano or synth, which seems to be aimed by the band to make a musical contrast in sound. Narzissus is one of the metal projects that Erech Leleth is leading. This full-length debut has some 'tonally ambitious' moments in track 3 and 5 by adopting the musical influences outside metal. It is glad to see his fatigueless passion to yield his works on a consistent basis. But none of his works has reached the level of satisfaction. I think it would be much better for him to put all his energy into a single project rather than scatter it into numerous projects.   Jan 21, 2024

It's half covers and half original material, and there's a mix of quality here, but when it comes to the choruses the songs really shine. The Heart cover (track 9) is the high point. They improved Journey's Separate Ways by eliminating the corniness (though the lyrics still don't make sense). Other highlights for me are tracks 6, 8, and 12.   Jan 19, 2024

One of my favorite bands. This song has all the stomping riffs and bass drops, but leaves me feeling unfulfilled since it's only 1:39 long. 애플 뮤직 알고리즘 추천에서 우연히 듣게 된 싱글 컷인 A God's work에서 비장미 넘치는 가운데 소름돋는 스크리밍을 끝으로 멋지게 마무리 되어서 매우 기대하고 있었는데 트랙 마다 각각 일관되며 비슷한 흐름으로 전개되고, 마지막 짧은 클린 보컬 곡으로 마무리 짓기 까지 기대 이상의 놀라운 완성도를 보여 주었다. 근데 이게 무려 원맨 밴드라니... ㄷㄷㄷ   Jan 19, 2024

군터 베르노의 부재가 오히려 곡의 diversity가 증가하는 방향으로 귀결되어 조금 변화된 VP를 느낄수있다. 그 와중에 코어는 전혀 흔들리지 않고 너무나 탄탄한 장르의 전형을 보여주는 뛰어난 앨범이다. 이들 특유의 늘어짐이 가끔은 지루하기도 하지만, 이정도 내공에 이정도 앨범을 찍어내는 이들은 결코 없으므로, 이제 당연히 명예의 전당에 입성해야 한다.   May 10, 2024

개인적으로 이 앨범을 그렇게 좋아하지 않는다. 이 앨범이야 말로 방향성이 애매했던 프로듀싱과 작곡으로 생각보다 안좋네 라고 생각했던 앨범. 물론 메탈 갓이 주다스의 시그니쳐로 쓰이기는 한데 이 곡도 애매하다. 브레이킹 더 로나 리빙도 맘에 안들고 물론 관중과 싱어롱할때는 좋긴 하다고 생각은 하지만 말이다. 75-80점.6번 8번이 의외로 좋다.   May 8, 2024

천재라 불렸던 자들은 진짜 총기가 불을 뿜는 때가 있다. 이시절의 나가쉬가 그랬다. 전작과 너무 다른 이앨범으로 전작에 버금가는 놀라운 사운드를 만들어냈다. 일렉트로니카와 익스트림을 섞어 부대찌개처럼 절묘한 융합의 새로운 맛을 냈다. 이렇게 세기말을 통과했던 이들은 너무 빨리 미래로 넘어갔다. 25년이 넘어도 여전히 미래적이다.   May 14, 2024
