Fear of the Dark Comments

이 앨범도 전작과 더불어 애매한 구석이 있다. 1,12가 워낙 유명한 곡이긴 하지만 굳이 8,9집을 굳이 사야할 정도는 아니라고 본다. 전작보다 더 낫다고 말을 못하겠다. 이 앨범으로 브루스도 나갔고 아이언 메이든도 확실한 침체기에 들어간다.

This album is better than NPFTD. X Factor is better than this. The title track is one of their best. Afraid to Shoot Strangers is excellent. It has some of my favourite melodies. Be Quick or Be Dead is a great opener and is almost thashy! The ballad Wasting Love is decent. Weekend Warrior and The Apparition are among the weakest songs by the band. Judas be my Guide is underrated. Fear is the Key has a very good first half. The second half of the song is unnecessary.

Another average Album.

일부 쉬어가는 track이 있긴 하지만 impact있는 곡들은 각자만의 특색이 있어 좋은 앨범.

I know it might sound weird, but one of my fondest childhood memories is lying in bed with a cold, tucked in warm blankiet, listening to this album

Be Quick or Be Dead, Fear of The Dark *****

A great album the last with Bruce for a few years. And the title track is one of maidens greatest songs.

학생 때 마지막 트랙을 우연히 접하고 큰 충격에 빠져 메이든의 다른 곡들을 찾아듣게 만든 입문 앨범으로, 중반부에 지루한 부분이 없는 건 아니지만 전주부터 소름돋는 마지막 트랙으로 모든 단점을 커버한다.

Not quite a return to form, but definitely contains elements of their older sound in addition to the new style they picked up at the turn of the century. Definitely a solid album.

Good songs like Be quick or be dead or Fear of the Dark, which are hymns, with other rather filler songs

My most played album #1,032. Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark. The ninth studio album released in 1992. A great album, Fear of the Dark was ranked No. 8 on Guitar World magazine's top ten list of guitar albums of 1992. A bunch of great songs! 3 singles "Be Quick or Be Dead", "From Here to Eternity" and "Wasting Love". More great songs "Afraid to Shoot Strangers", "From Here to Eternity" and "Fear of the Dark". Solid all the way through play the whole thing!

전체적으로 무게감 있고 고른 수준의 앨범

Very good end of an era. 3-4 all time classics are here.

이 앨범은 1곡으로도 값어치부터 높아도 엄청 높아서 100점을 주는건데 어두움속의 두려움은 리프+샤우팅+드러밍 그리고 가사가 정말로 와닿지 않을 수가 없기 때문이다. 마지막 갓띵곡중의 갓띵곡은 IRON MAIDEN TRACK을 넘어서 HEAVY METAL TRACK 들중 하나라고 할 만큼 나의 마음에도 와닿는 곡이다. 그래서 이때이후 메인 보컬이 나간건 심히 위로한다..

연주력은 갈수록 원숙해지는 형님들이지만, 본작은 전체적인 작곡 및 편곡의 퀄리티가 이전작들과 상이합니다. 힘도 없고 멜로디도 없는 매우 약하고 지루한 곡들의 연속입니다. 반복되는 부분이 많아 구성면에서도 그다지 돋보이는 점이 없습니다. 점수중 50점은 순전히 마지막 한 트랙이 멋져서 주는 점수이고 나머지 열한개의 트랙에게 5점을 주어 55점입니다.

1, 2, 3, 6, 12번 빼고 아무거나 찝어서 두세곡만 뺐음 훨 좋았을것 같습니다. 아.. 8번은 무조건 빼구ㅋ

Fear of the Dark를 학생 때 카피해 본 적이 있는데 어중이떠중이가 함부로 넘볼 곡이 절대 아니었는데 부끄럽다. 이 곡은 브루스, 스티브가 날아다니는 건 물론이고 야닉과 데이브의 조화가 끝내주는 곡이다. 거기다가 더 엄청난 건 기승전결이 확실한 곡 구조와 분위기다. 감히 메이든이 아니면 못 할건데 또 부끄럽다. 여튼 이 곡 하나로 90점은 받아야 할 것 같다

fear of the dark 이곡 한곡으로도 높은점수를 줘도 되지만 그외 의 곡들은 그에 비해 퀄리티가 떨어지는건 사실이다

나를 메탈과 아이언 메이든의 세계로 이끌어준 명반. 조굼 처지는 곡도 몇 있지만 나머지 명곡들이 보완해준다.

3,10,12 번 트랙만 듣자 나머지는 참고 듣기 힘들다

솔직히 Fear of the Dark 제외하면 지루했다

주제넘은 얘기지만, 수록곡들 간에 격차가 좀 있고, 아우라 넘치는 12번 같은 역사적인 개명곡이 있다면 일부트랙을 버리는 것도 좋은 선택이지 않았을까 생각한다. 역시 주제넘은 생각이지만 몇곡 덜어냈다면 90점도 넘었을 것 같다.

Fear of Dark하고 Afraid to Shoot Strangers 빼고는 영 정이 가지 않는다

추억보정 +10점. 힘이 덜 느껴지지만 어쩌란건가..그딴거 쌈싸먹을정도로 좋은데.. 하지만 12번 트랙만 한정. 나머진 겉절이로 밥반찬은 해주는거같다. 겉절이도 맛은 좋다.
