Very good Blues album driven by strong vocals and nice guitarwork. Moore’s more soulful tracks like the title track do a great job of what Blues are supposed to do; give you a sad song to drown your blues in. The more energetic tracks are sometimes saved by the decent guitar riffs, but Blues are not supposed to be uplifting. Feb 12, 2021

Neat little ep with some more eclectic material from Gamma Ray. Feb 12, 2021

Solid Power Metal album from ex Helloween guitarist. Like Helloween, it's just fun material. Nothing too serious, but definitely some great energy and melody to it. Feb 12, 2021

Better than Fabulous Disaster, at least all the songs are pretty serious this time. Disregard the awful cover art, this is a straightforward thrasher. Feb 12, 2021

Completely unknown outside Korea, Dionysus were actually laying down some of the first pseudo-Symphonic Metal here. Nice touches of Neoclassical and Power Metal throughout. Feb 12, 2021

More by the numbers Dio, as he's been doing since Sacred Heart. Not really any weaker than the previous two. Feb 12, 2021

Insanely underrated album from Destruction just because of lineup changes I imagine. Lyrics are pretty awful and the music is simplified a bit from their previous Tech Thrash days, but otherwise? Some of the meanest Thrashing around, fantastic riffs and vocals. Feb 12, 2021

Some amazing music here, insane riffs and awesome vocals. Would be a perfect DeathThrash album, but the production sucks. The drums in particular are quite ruined, but still the amazing music saves it. Feb 12, 2021

The most consistent and safest of Death Angel's original run. Interestingly, they add some acoustic Thrash in there, other than that it's pretty straightforward material. Feb 12, 2021

I prefer this to the previous two, oddly enough. More melodic, the riffs are top class, the vocals are great and the lyrics are a huge improvement to some of the nonsense on the previous albums. Feb 12, 2021

Danzig just doesn't impress me. Elvis vocals over really generic Hard Rock/Heavy Metal. The riffs are uninspired and simple, and the vocals aren't exactly catchy or anything. Feb 12, 2021

Not actually any Doom Metal here... or Rock of any kind, for that matter. This is a purely Ambient/Experimental Paul Chain album, and it's some 2 hours or more of dreadfully boring material. Feb 12, 2021

Not great, but certainly not too bad either. Pretty middle of the road. Feb 12, 2021

Bruce's solo album is mostly anthemic Hard Rock/Heavy Metal. Truly uninspired, somehow not only is the music obviously worse than Miaden, but Bruce just doesn't have the same flair either. Feb 12, 2021

Blind Guardian hit their stride as a Power Metal band here. The Thrash influence is fading, and the songs get more epic. In all honesty? I prefer the Thrashy debut, but this is still fantastic. Feb 12, 2021

Underrated as hell, this oddly epic Black Sabbath album has their most passionate material yet. Just a ton of classic Heavy Metal here, and god damn Tony Martin's vocals are absolute top class all over this thing. Feb 12, 2021

Fantastic album full of intense, melodic thrashing, but also plenty of mid-paced material that almost touches on arena rocking. All done very well though. Feb 12, 2021

Anthrax slow it down to almost Groove Metal on this one. Some of the songwriting is better than the last few, but honestly it gets boring to hear Anthrax at mid-pace. I prefer straight and simple Thrash from these guys. Feb 12, 2021

Quirky and crazy Crossover Thrash. Some of it is a joke, but the riffs are seriously good in many parts. One of those funs albums that occasionally rips. Feb 12, 2021

Fantastic rhythm work here, songwriting and riffs aren't super original, but from a technical standpoint it's very impressive. Feb 8, 2021

Just as good as the debut, a work of madness that could be the most technically impressive album of the entire decade. Watchtower released just two albums in their career and they remain the backbone of hyper technical metal. Nov 1, 2020

Kind of a generic Venom release; Thrashy Heavy Metal with really amateur songwriting, but enough tasty licks to get you through. Nov 1, 2020

Testament slow down just a bit here. They still deliver quality songwriting, and I prefer it even to The New Order. Nov 1, 2020

May 10, 2024

Apr 29, 2024

1990년도에 대체 무슨 일이 있었길래... rust in peace, painkiller, spiritual healing, cowboys from hell까지... May 7, 2024

May 5, 2024

May 10, 2024

7 days ago
