Vocalist is worse, but the riffage here is still top notch. Full of manic energy and aggression. Feb 13, 2021

Vulcano get back on their game! Super raw Blackened Thrash, with conscious lyrics at that. Got a soft spot for these guys, even though they can be rather generic, there's something about their sound that I quite like. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 75/100
Just like Yngwie, Tony goes full AOR. Tons of pop drivel... but it ends surprisingly strong. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 75/100
Generic Death Metal, ominous but otherwise unassuming of their later style. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 85/100
I find this one to be unfairly disliked... Testament's darkest and moodiest album at the time. Production sucks yes, but the riffs and solos were their best. Feb 13, 2021

Drunken German thrashers put out another record of energy and entertainment. Good riffs but no substance. Feb 13, 2021

Somewhat of a misstep for Sodom. The Thrash material here is fantastic as always. Unfortunately, they also throw in some covers and Heavy/Speed songs that are more or less filler. The heights are the same, but the lows are much lower. Feb 13, 2021

Slayer at their most melodic and mainstream. Still heavier than anything the other big 4 did! And better too! Feb 13, 2021

Rhythm section on this is incredible... everything else is rather boring. A unique album for sure, in that it doesn't sound like conventional Prog Metal at all. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 60/100
By far the weakest thing Scorpions had done, Crazy World focuses on sappy or gross pop hits. Nothing with any integrity here. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 65/100
Some people call this a comeback because it was a bit heavier than the last album... but they sacrificed all the catchy anthems and strong vocal melodies. Step down for me. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 70/100
Amateur Black/Thrash with some cool moments, but also some silly moments. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 85/100
Sure, the overly long samples were a mistake... but everything else about this album rocks! Horn section adds a great touch, and tracks like Dance of Death and Black Leather and Glittering Steel are some of the best Speed Metal anthems to date. Judas Priest took influence from this! Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 80/100
Rage continues their delve into Power Metal here. In my opinion, this one is better than anything they did in the 80's - much better vocals and leads. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 95/100
Queensrÿche go pretty mainstream here... and it rocks! These guys write better hooks then any pop group ever could. Really carried by Geoff's amazing vocals. Feb 13, 2021

Despite the tags, this is NOT Thrash Metal, but in fact one of the first Groove Metal albums put to record. Is it good? Well, it's alright. Good riffs, really uninspired rhythm section though keeps it from being great. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 65/100
One of the first Death Doom albums is pretty rough around the edges. Some evil atmosphere, but nothing really compelling. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 60/100
Very uninspired Trad Doom for the most part. I'm fairly certain this material was written long before it was recorded, and it shows. Many bands did this much better already. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 70/100
Pretty standard material. Not quite coming into their own style yet, full of Hardcore Punk and some Crossover Thrash. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 85/100
Napalm Death go full Death Metal here, and they're awesome at it. Crushingly heavy material with some much needed structure and melody that their odd material lacked. Riffs are great. Feb 13, 2021

More odd material from Naked City in the form of totally chaotic Jazz with some Grindcore splayed about. Feb 13, 2021

Manilla Road let go of most of their Thrash tint and deliver something closer to their Trad Metal output. Very strong and consistent album overall. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 55/100
Rather mediocre and inconsistent alternative metal. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 95/100
Kreator haven't missed a beat, entering the new decade with another of Thrash's finest, most aggressive cut of metal. Feb 13, 2021

King's X serves up another slab of mostly generic Hard Rock, though this record sees some other influences in some songs. A bit more varied, for the better. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 85/100
Another very strong, proggy Heavy Metal concept album from King Diamond. So far, he has done no wrong. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 75/100
Maiden lose some of their flair and progressive sheen, opting for a simpler, stripped back approach. Certainly weaker than the slew that came before it, but by no means a bad album. Some very strong songs here. Feb 13, 2021

Incredibly strong Death Thrash record from who are now Opprobrium. Fast technical parts abound, but they still know how to slow it down and groove as well. Very strong from start to finish. Feb 13, 2021
SilentScream213 75/100
A rather generic USPM record. Some good riffs here and there, pretty standard debut album. Feb 13, 2021

May 10, 2024

Vain Glory Opera" Apr 25, 2024

1990년도에 대체 무슨 일이 있었길래... rust in peace, painkiller, spiritual healing, cowboys from hell까지... May 7, 2024

May 5, 2024

May 10, 2024

7 days ago
