Black Future by Vektor is the kind of thrash record that feels completely unhinged without ever losing control. The riffs are fast, technical and constantly shifting, but there is always a strong sense of momentum underneath all the chaos. The guitars are easily the highlight, moving between vicious thrash patterns, strange progressive passages and surprisingly atmospheric sections.
David DiSanto's vocals will probably be the biggest hurdle for some listeners. That extremely high, almost alien scream is definitely an acquired taste, but once it clicks, it becomes part of what gives the album its identity. The longer songs are where Vektor really shine, especially when they slow things down before launching back into another burst of speed.
The only real weakness is the length. At nearly seventy minutes, Black Future asks for a lot of attention, and a few sections could have been trimmed. Still, the ambition and sheer quality of the playing make it easy to forgive.
It's aggressive, weird, futuristic and genuinely exciting. It sounds like thrash metal being pushed into unfamiliar territory rather than simply being played faster.

지난 겨울에 들었을때는 90점 정도의 느낌이었는데 오늘 들으면서 거의 100에 육박하는게 아닌가 할 정도로 귀에 잘 들어온다. 연말 연시 보통때보다 이것 저것 많이 사고 있는데 어쩌다보니 계속 조금 더 쉽게 구할 수 있는 앨범을 사다보니 또 미루어 지고 있는데 손에 들어오는 건 시간 문제일 듯. earache 발매 앨범들 몇개가 좀 갖고 싶긴 하다. 너무 좋은 앨범

Vektor의 디스코그라피 중 가장 좋아하는 앨범. 멤버들 각각의 기량은 말할 것도 없고 이 앨범 특유의 악독함이 아주 마음에 든다. 92.5점.

이것이 데뷔앨범이라니 듣는 내내 '미쳤네....' 소리만 되뇌이게 할 뿐이고.... 그 길로 바로 2집 3집 앨범도 구매를 했었지.... 보컬에 대한 이야기도 나오는 것 같은데.... 밴드의 가장 중요한건 보컬보다도 순수 곡과 연주라고 생각하는바 크게 신경쓰지는 않는다 그냥 약빨고 만든 앨범일 뿐이고 이들의 신규앨범을 더 기대할 수 없는 현실이 슬플 뿐이다....

앨범의 구성 측면에서 도저히 데뷔 앨범이라고 생각되지 않는다. 보컬도 호불호가 있겠으나 이들의 독보적인 아이텐티티를 표현하기엔 안성맞춤이 아닌가 생각된다

Terminal Redux 안 들은 뇌 삽니다. Terminal Redux를 먼저 접하고, 역주행을 하니 아쉬움이 드네요. 이들의 데뷔앨범부터 정주행을 했더라면 마치 아이유의 3단 부스터와 같이 Black Future에서 부스터 1단 한 방 먹고, Outer Isolation에서 부스터 2단 또 한 방 먹고, 마지막 Terminal Redux 부스터 3단 먹으며 끝장났을 텐데요.

꽤나 몰입감이 있다. 앨범제목 "Black future" 만큼이나 장난기 1도없이 쥐락펴락 몰아붙이는 사운드로 청자를 암흑과 멸망의 블랙홀로 빨아들인다. (95->100 수정)

날카롭고 예리한 리프들이 거의 초단위로 변화무쌍하게 모습을 바꾸며 한곡 한곡을 척척 완성해 갑니다. Technical Thrash란 이런식으로 이루어지는거구나 하는 생각이 듭니다. 작살같은 보컬의 공격성은 마치 뇌를 쥐어 짜내는 듯해, 뇌를 이루고있는 온갖 알수없는 물질들과 함께 뇌수가 흘러내리는 느낌입니다. 평균이상의 작품같은데 제 취향엔 다소 건조합니다.

2, 3집보다 날것의 느낌이 있다. 손톱으로 긁는 듯한 초고음 스크리밍은 목 관리를 어떻게 해야 유지할 수 있는지 모르겠다.
