나 같은 DT빠가 그들의 앨범에 주는 비교적 낮은 점수...썩 내키지는 않는다. 하지만 한 두 앨범 내고 라이브 내는 패턴...이젠 좀 지겹다. 음악적으로만 보면 Distance Over Time 앨범이 그렇게 나쁘지 않았구나 싶었다. 그리고 이제는 더 이상 5집때의 그들이 아니구나 하는 안타까움. 절대 포트노이의 부재만이 그 이유는 아닐 것이다. (but...LTE3에 기대를 걸어야...ㅠㅠ)

I really prefer the 2000 version of Scenes of a memory Live entirely, the clean vocals are good but others are ordinary and evasive. Nigtmare to remember is a wrong choice if u did not do the growling vocals...

finally free 을 가장 좋아하는데 백번도 넘게 들은 5집의 드럼 패턴을 ...억지가 들어간 느낌도 있다.. 이전 기타와 드럼의 경쟁구도가 초필살의 연주력을 발휘하던게 이제는 기타의 주도로만 이루어지는게 살짝 아쉽다..그래도 키보드의 역량이 상당히 인상적이다

Bluray로 봤습니다. 이들의 공연실황 중 음질 화질은 가히 역대급이네요. 나이들어가는 모습이 너무 적나라하게 보여서 아쉬울 정도로... 최근 앨범의 호불호를 떠나서 이 나이 먹고서도 아직 건재하게 활동해주셔서 감사할 따름입니다 ㅜㅠ 맨지니도 정말 뛰어난 드러머인데,, 하필 포트노이 후임이라..

2017년에 본 Images & Words 라이브를 잊을수 없다. 원체 잘하는데다가 대표작을 라이브로 보는 즐거움이란.. 그에 버금가는 명반인 Metropolis Pt.2 라이브 또한 대단하다. 가능하다면 질 좋은 블루레이버전으로 보시길..

일단 셋 리스트만 봐도 먹고 들어가는 것이 아마도 공식 라이브 앨범으로는 처음 실린 ANTR만 들어 봐도 완전히 녹아 든 맨교수와 존재감이 높아진 존명, 드디어 명료하게 들리는 조던의 키보드 소리에 그간 쌓인 짬바가 느껴지는 베리에이션 등등 조미료 빨이 가득한 분가 맛집 보다 여읔쉬 관록의 본가가 한 수 위라는 걸 증명한다.

전체적으로 안정적인 라이브 앨범이다. 라브리도 컨디션이 괜찮은 듯하다. 5집 곡들에서 자로 잰듯이 정확한 연주가 너무 기계적으로 경직되게 들리는 점이 아쉽긴하다.

어느새 이들의 라이브가 출시되면 라브리에의 컨디션 보다 맨지니의 기존 곡 재현력을 더 주의 깊게 듣게 됬는데 그 관점에서 보면 이번 라이브는 맨지니 참여 라이브 앨범 중 가히 최고로 꼽히지 않을까 싶다.
