Fates Warning pôsobí na Prog. Metal/Rock -ovej scéne už od roku 1984, čiže aktuálne už 37 rokov a stále si išli svojou cestou a svojím spracovaním progresívnej hudby. Aktuálne album sa pohybuje prevažne v strednom tempe, pričom hudba sa v jednotlivých piesňach postupne rozvíja a doplňuje. Dôraz je daný aj na spev, gitary sú premenlivé a dopĺňajú ich pestré a nápadité bicie.
