전작에서 최상으로 끌어올려진 창작의 텐션을 그대로 이어서 보다 더 웅장하고 화려해진, 그리고 전작과 마찬가지로 매우 토속적이고 아름다우며 모든 곡이 역시나 매끄럽게 유기적으로 느낌이 잘 조화되며 이어지는 구성을 보이는.. 마치 판타지영화를 귀로 듣는 착각을 일으키는 앨범이다. 데쓰메탈의 상징인 해골을 벌들의 모양으로 기막히게 형상화한 자켓만큼, 아니 그 이상의 내용을 담고있는 이 앨범은 앨범 주변의 벌집만큼이나 내 귀에 꿀이 뚝뚝 떨어지듯, 향긋하고 달콤한 멜로딕 데스메탈이 들려주는 최고의 아름답고 웅장한 파워를 선사한다. 브루탈계에 캐니벌콥스가 있다면, 멜데스계엔 단연 아모피스라고 엄지 척!!!!!

Fínska metalová scéna ponúka obrovské množstvo výborných metalových skupín od mojich obľúbencov Sentenced, cez výborných Stratovarius, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, To/Die/For, Waltari, Turisas, Entwine,.... až po špičkových Amorphis. Čiže nie len krajina tisícich jazier, ale aj tisícich metal-ových kapiel.
Okrem debutového albumu, ktoré bolo z môjho pohľadu skôr priemerné, bolo každé nasledujúce album od Amorphis príjemným hudobným zážitkom, pričom aj pri vystriedaní troch spevákov mala každá éra svojich silných zástupcov, napr.: "Tales From the Thousand Lakes" s Tomi Koivusaari -m za mikrofónom, "Elegy" / "Tuonela" / "Am Universum" / "Far From the Sun" s Pasi Koskinen -om, až po aktuálnu éru s Tomi Joutsen -om.
Jeho cesta začala pri albume "Eclipse" a pokračuje až doteraz, pričom svojim rozsahom dokáže bez problémov kombinovať príjemný melodický spev s drsnejším growlingom / revom.
Ďalšou veľkou výhodou je hudba, ktorá je melodická a hlavne celkom dobre poznateľná a charakteristická pre kapelu. Či už sa jedná o štýl využitia gitár (vyhrávky, riffy a sóla), klávesové nástroje alebo aj výborná doprovodná rytmika. Kapela vydala opäť kvalitné album, ktoré odporúčam každému nadšencovi kvalitnej hudby.

By far the band's best. The song material is brilliant without any weak songs which is nothing new for Amorphis, but now there are also many highlights that raise the value of the album significantly. 'The Bee' and 'Amongst Stars' are highlights, although it is difficult to name just a few songs. "Under The Red Cloud" was an extremely successful album, but now the band has polished their diamond and what remains is a pure masterpiece, "Queen Of Time".

By far the best of the group, the whole works wonderfully. Tomi Joutsen is possibly the most underrated singer in history.

Es un estupendo trabajo de Amorphis este Queen of time. Aquí hay auténticas joyas de canciones del grupo finlandes. Un imprescindible en mi colección.

개인적으로는 Amorphis 최고의 앨범. 사운드 엔지니어링이 발군으로 겹겹이 쌓여진 사운드의 레어어가 엄청나게 풍성한 느낌을 선사하는 것이 Wintersun이 연상되기도 (물론 Amorphis쪽이 훨씬 선배). 다양한 악기와 코러스를 활용하여 심포닉메탈같은 웅장함도 제공.

찰진 사운드와 토속적인 멜로디는 청자의 귀를 사로잡기에 충분하다. 그러나 메탈 본연의 진국을 느낄 수 없다는 느낌은 나만의 생각일까

아모피스의 최근 작들도 참 좋았는데, 이 앨범으로 완성형이 된 듯한 느낌이다. 특유의 토속적(?)인 멜로디는 한층 더 빛을 발하고, 웅장한 느낌까지 나는 멋진 앨범.

아모피스다운 사운드이다. 90년대 사운드와 별반 차이는 없지만 하쉬보컬만 제외하면 영낙없는 프로그레시브 메탈 사운드이다. 도대체 이런 사운드에 하쉬보컬이 어울리는가?
