This is an absolutely amazing album. The guitar riffs are so fucking heavy, and memorable, they are executed so perfectly that it brings a tear to the eye. The bass doesn't stay in the background as it normally would, instead here it breaks through the mold and manages to sustain the album in it's softer parts and greatly improves the organized pandemonium that is "From Mars To Sirius". The drums excel at being heavy and chaotic, while still maintaining a sense of order within the songs, and at times even becoming more melodic and even rarely militaristic. The vocals -as well as the lyrics conveyed through the vocals- manage to hold a sense of power and excellence, that really make this album pierce the vale. And on top of all of that the ambient sounds of whales that are sprinkled throughout this album (primarily on "Flying Whales") helps make this album more authentic that it already is. All in all "From Mars To Sirius" is a phenomenal work of art, a masterpiece that conveys the story of a martian seeking refuge from his war-torn planet, and travelling far across the Galaxy (all the way to Sirius) in search of a new home. Also just as a quick note, "The Heaviest Matter In The Universe" is the best Track on this album.

I love Gojira's work, from Magma to Fortitude, and I confess that this phase here is a little out of my style. Maybe it's a little complicated for me to understand. But hits like "Global Warming", which is one of my favorite Gojira songs, make me consider it. I found this to be just a good album. It's quite clear that I don't love Death Metal works, but the heavy and progressive parts here still attract me. Flying Whales breakdown is unbelieveble. Great song.

One of the best concept albums in my life.

výborné gitary, dobré riffy a tvrdý zvuk, mixnutý death/groove/prog. metal

Thoroughly enjoyable Prog DM album from France! I love how their song progresses; It seems like it follows a form but then it breaks your anticipation and presents a totally unexpected progression. Lyrical content? These guys sing about whales, space, the environment and stuff in the most Prog-Deathy way ever. Great stuff!
