rockerman 95/100Album of the day #1116. Artension - Phoenix Rising. Amazing neoclassical progressive metal, sounds like Dream Theater hired Malmsteen. One reason why I love this band is because of the great lyrics I can understand. excellent keyboardist Vitalij Kuprij, Roger Staffelbach killer guitar John's voice is really powerful. They say they have an 8th album coming out, I can't wait. Great songs are “Area 51”, “Phoenix Rising” and “Valley of the Kings”. Apr 13, 2021

rockerman 100/100My 771th most played album. Blue Tears - Self Titled 1990. Sounds almost exactly like Bon Jovi! Not what the market was looking for on 1990. 2 singles released from the record "Innocent Kiss" and "Rockin' with the Radio". More great songs, "Crush" and "Blue Tears". It would take 15 years to release their 2nd CD! Another CD I pulled out of Second Spins $1 bin, Warehouse records closed sold their stock to Second Spin I bought about 1,000 $1 CD's. Apr 13, 2021

Such a strange album, it only contains songs from 3 albums Slide It In, Whitesnake and Slip of the Tongue. The songs are killer but it forgot about the other 5 albums? Still a Whitesnake fan must buy this one to get the song "Sweet Lady Luck" (a B-side from the previous album Slip of the Tongue). and the 1987 versions of "Here I Go Again" and "Crying in the Rain". 4 likes Iconoclast 90/100드디어 이들의 약점이었던 절제된 기타솔로가 어느정도 해금되었습니다. 지난 앨범도 만족스러웠는데 역시나 이번에도 실망하지 않게 해주네요. 나이가 들어감에 따라 내가 좋아하는 밴드들도 하나둘씩 늙어가고 멤버들도 세상을 떠나는 걸 보니 매우 슬프네요. 반덴플라스는 계속 음악활동 왕성히 해주었으면 좋겠습니다 2 days ago

metalnrock 90/100블랙모어가 딥퍼플에서 나와서 좋은 것은 rainbow식 음악도 들을 수 있게 되었다는 점이다. 아주 아주 특이한 감성을 갖고 있는 사람이다. 아주 헤비한 락이면서도 부분 부분 포크적인 느낌도 있고 쓰잔함도 갖고 있다. 당대의 3대장하고는 다른 맛을 느낄 수 있다. 1,4,6이 대표곡. 3번은 quatarmass 9번은 yardbirds 커버곡이다. 희한하게 LP의 양면 라벨이 바뀐 것도 있다. Apr 16, 2024

metalnrock 100/100리치가 베이스를 1–3, 6를 연주했다. 그 외의 스튜디오는 밥 데이즐리 연주. 어렸을 때에는 1,5를 굉장히 좋아했었는데 문제는 5를 라센 시기에는 듣질 못했었다. 지금은 오히려 4번 같은 곡이 애청곡이 되었다. 앨범으로 기준으로도 1,2집보다 더 좋아했던 기억이 있다. 8번은 역시나 디오의 또 다른 보컬 맛을 느끼기 좋은 곡. 디오 재적시의 앨범은 영원할 것 같다. Apr 20, 2024

redondo 90/1003인조 코로너의 전 앨범 특히 2,3,4집을 좋아합니다. 옛날에 3집을 LP로 구입했었는데 속지에 시계, 스위스, 큰 글자로 '그로테스크' 라고 적힌 기억이.. 이후 90년대 중후반에 걸쳐서 전 앨범을 시디로 하나씩 모았죠. 30년간 신보를 안 내고 재결성 후에 아직도 활동하는 것도 특이한데, 그만큼 고정팬들이 많다는거 거겠죠. Apr 25, 2024

녹터노스 90/100간만에 듣는 수작 프로그레시브 젠트 앨범. 개인적으로 프록을 좋아하지 않음에도 불구하고 리프가 살아있고 복잡한 연주보다는 분위기나 리듬이 강조되어 듣는 재미가 배가 되었다. 보컬이 그로울링이었더라면 취향 100점 짜리 앨범이 되었지 않을까라는 생각도 드는 앨범. Apr 29, 2024

metalnrock 75/100개인적으로 이 앨범을 그렇게 좋아하지 않는다. 이 앨범이야 말로 방향성이 애매했던 프로듀싱과 작곡으로 생각보다 안좋네 라고 생각했던 앨범. 물론 메탈 갓이 주다스의 시그니쳐로 쓰이기는 한데 이 곡도 애매하다. 브레이킹 더 로나 리빙도 맘에 안들고 물론 관중과 싱어롱할때는 좋긴 하다고 생각은 하지만 말이다. 75-80점.6번 8번이 의외로 좋다. 2 days ago
