Rateyourmusic.com thinks this is the #2 greatest mathcore album. I really don't agree, and it started to test my patience, but I did feel the 2nd half of the record started getting a lot more interesting and I was getting into it a lot more. Good songs here. There's a ton of variety in the types of vocals, and one kind of male clean vocals feels very awkward, so there is a somewhat negative aspect. Not terrible, but it drags the quality down just a little.   May 19, 2024

I melted into a bubbling puddle. I loved this Sabbath-worship doom with a NWOTHM feel, and by the way, that m*@^%!$ f$?>)(#*&^ g*^*% d(&(% singer!!!! For me this is the glass being half full; I expected something awful but I was plainly enjoying it for some moments here & there. It's totally commercial, aimed at 10-to-15-year-olds, and the lyrics are weak & sloppy. On the other side, I really loved some of the riffs, and the singer achieves some nice tones and has real charisma too. Balance it all out, and it's a mediocre 70.   May 19, 2024
