Mick Gordon과 Slipknot이 피쳐링을 해주면 나올 것 같은 사운드를 선보인 Fear Factory의 2021년 신보. Burton C. Bell의 목소리만 담겨서 그런지 멜로디가 좋은 곡들까지 그의 엉뚱한 고집이 곁들여져 있는 느낌이 든다. 다른 보컬이 누가 들어오든 Burton이 그리워지겠지만 Dino가 인터뷰에서 한 발언인 '그는 언제든 아무 말 없이 우리 곁을 떠났다가 다시 돌아오곤 했다'가 사실이라면 다시 돌아오지 않았으면 싶기도 하다. 죽이되든 밥이되든 이젠 분란이 없는 안정적인 Fear Factory의 모습을 보고싶기 때문에
파워하우스 오프닝 트랙인 Recode와 앨범과 동명인 Aggression Continuum, 선공개 트랙이었던 Fuel Injected Suicide Machine과 후반부 두 트랙 Cognitive Dissonance, End of Line은 매우 괜찮다는 생각을 하며 들었다(써 보고 나서 깨달은 것은 연속으로 붙어있는 곡들은 없다는 것)

Manufactured Hope is straight up fantastic. Some of the songs on this album, though, feel mediocre to me, and the sections with clean vocals tend to feel awkward. Overall, good but not great.

최근 트렌드에 맞추어 기존의 인더스트리얼에 심포닉한 사운드를 입혀 사운드가 더욱 풍성해짐. 여전히 매력적인 멜로디와 리프를 잘 뽑아냄. 귀에 잘 들어오는 곡들도 있지만, 예전의 Demanufacture에서의 패턴이 계속 반복되니 좀 물리는 느낌. 전체적으로 들어볼만한 수작. 베스트 트랙은 'Fuel Injected Suicide Machine'

novinka "Aggression Continuum" je ako stretnutie so známym po dlhšej dobe. Okamžite ho identifikujete, rokmi už poznáte jeho povahu, názory a humor. FF okamžite spoznáte podľa zvuku, štýlu hudby a aj kombinácii spevu s revom. Niektoré prvky ich hudby oceňujete a ku kapele jednoznačne paria, avšak občas by mohli aj viac experimentovať. No stále je to super. Po viacerých vypočutiach pridávam 5 bodov.
