It's kind of like cheating. Tom forms Hellhammer, hones his musical skills, and then the first Celtic Frost EP is this excellent. Every second of this release is a complete blast. It brings a huge smile to my face and I get right into the groove. The lyrics are like insane mutterings about evil & immorality - what more can you ask for? A satanic-looking cover?

블랙 메탈의 기원. Celtic Frost의 앨범들 가운데 가장 스레쉬 메탈에 가까운 음악을 들려주는 한편, 'Morbid Tales' 같은 데스앤롤 스타일의 곡이나, 아방가르드함이 넘치는 'Danse Macabre' 등등 시대를 앞서간 창의성을 느낄 수 있음.

PURE DARK and COLD by the legend CELTIC FROST!!! one of my favourites ever from 80s

In my opinion, a very unremarkable beginning for what would become a legendary band. Still significant for the first wave of Black Metal.
