Labÿrinth je na melodickej metalovej scéne celkom zavedené meno, pričom od návratu gitaristu Olaf Thörsen -a (inak Carlo Andrea Magnani) do skupiny sa vybrali smerom najúspešnejšej a aj najlepšej etapy kapely. Na novinke kombinujú Melodický Prog./Power Metal, a hudobne (nie nápadmi) je to blízke ich najlepšiemu albumu z roku 1998. Ďalšími základnými "kameňmi" úspechu skupiny je príjemný melodický spev Roberto Tiranti -ho a gitarová hra Andrea Cantarelli -ho. Pestrosť dvoch gitár, riffovanie, vyhrávky a striedanie sól udržali môj záujem počas celého albumu, keďže stále sa niečo deje. Album má dobrý zvuk a všetky nástroje sú dobre počuteľné. Zvyšok kapely tvoria prevažne noví členovia, aj keď dvaja hrali už na predošlom albume z r. 2017, konkrétne Oleg Smirnoff (klávesy) a Nik Mazzucconi (basa). Posledný člen Matt Peruzzi (bicie) je novic, avšak na albume odviedol rovnako kvalitnú prácu a celkovo jeho hra je pestrá a nápaditá. Podarené album.

Labÿrinth are very unique band and their new material is always worth checking out. "Welcome to The Absurd Circus" brings the band back to soaring, riff Power/Heavy metal, with a few of their modern tweaks from the last few albums still intact. There are great guitar riffs, coupled with the usual keyboard riffs Labyrinth use to layer their music and at the same time high quality singing.

개인적으로 Freeman 앨범을 가장 좋아하지만, 전작과 비슷하게 이런형태로 나아가는 방향도 상당히 마음에 든다. 다만 앨범커버/타이틀과 곡들의 분위기는 별로 연관이 없다는것은 아쉬운점. Oleg Smirnoff의 존재와 또다른 괴물 드러머의 가입도 앨범 퀄리티에 큰 영향을 끼친 것이 분명하다.
