75-85 글쎄 나쁘지 않은 앨범이기는 하나 어느 곡을 특별히 꼽게 되지는 않는 느낌. 딥퍼플 조린터너 시절하고도 살짝 겹치는 느낌도 난다. 그래도 레인보우 정도 되는 밴드에서 빠진 앨범을 줄이기 위해 샀고 후회는 없다

Dio 시절의 Rainbow로 돌아가고 싶었으나, 실패한 앨범. 팝스러운 멜로디도 사라지고, 예전만큼의 포스도 보여주지 못했다. 그나마 괜찮은 트랙이 9번 Eyes of Fire 인데, 솔직히 Gates of Babylon의 아류작이라고 생각한다.

"Straight Between the Eyes" is Rainbow's sixth studio album and the line-up was the same as had recorded the previous album, with the exception of David Rosenthal, who replaced Don Airey on keyboards.

Ritchie continues the trend of radio friendly heavy AOR with liberal solos thrown in. Not bad, but not as good as the early output.
