Diamond Head의 이름은 NWOBHM을 대표하는 기념비로 남아 있다. 이들은 단순히 한 시대를 장식한 밴드를 넘어, 이후 메탈의 흐름을 바꿔놓은 기폭제와 같은 존재였다. 특히 1980년에 발표된 데뷔 앨범 Lightning to the Nations는 당시로서는 놀라울 만큼 진취적인 작곡과 연주, 그리고 금속성 리프 중심의 사운드로, 훗날 대밴드로 위상을 확고히 한 Metallica나 Megadeth, 그리고 Anthrax와 같은 스래시 메탈의 선구자들에게 깊은 영향을 끼쳤다. My most played album #944. Diamond Head - Borrowed Time. 1981, The second studio album. First release on a major label MCA records. Metallica covered their song "Am I Evil?". The album went to No. 24 on the UK album charts, the band's only album to chart. "Lightning to the Nations" was the title song to the first album but was included on the second album because the first album was really a demo. Very rare, I was lucky to get this when I bought a 3,000 cassette tape collection in 2005 almost all rare metal from New Jersey on Ebay came in two washing machine boxes each about 200 pounds. When the fed ex guy came It was one of the best days of my life.

Diamond Head released "Borrowed Time" album with a more refined sound, better production and songs more in the 80's metal, than the dynamic NWOBHM of the first album. We have here five new songs and two re-recorded, that were originally on "Lightning to the Nations" album. The songs are very mellodic, still catchy and energetic.
