Captain Time Spacer (Part 1) Best Progressive Metal of 2024?
I have been listening to Captain Time Spacer - Part 1 on loop since it came out 03-18-2024. I am convinced this will be considered the best progressive metal album of 2024, what a random surprise and bolt of lightning.
Progressive Rock and Metal fans, have you heard it yet? What do you think?

It's a concept album that I sort of follow the story, it just kicks ass therefore I don't really care about the story but it's concept is the Captain of time and space, therefore the album uses plenty of guitar and synth arpeggio's to paint a metal version of blade-runner.
What a f'ing great album.

I don't know why YouTube Music is taking so long, it's out on every other platform. I will live-stream the entire album and post a link here for you. Once it's added to YouTube Music it will become copyrighted and count as monetized plays. | |||

한줌도 안되는 프록메탈판에 홍보하는거야 좋습니다만.. 스스로 올해의 앨범이라느니 최고라느니 하는건 별로 효과적인 홍보는 아닌것 같습니다. 차라리 이런 컨셉으로 이렇게 만들었다라던지 그런류의 이야기를 진솔하게 했으면 더 좋게 들었을 겁니다. | ||
Hey Grooove, as I am the artist behind Galexia and Captain Time Spacer I can answer those questions. Captain Time Spacer is a conceptual album about the Captain of Time and Space, he has a goofy hoverboard like back to the future that spaces through time and space... on his time spacer. I took this concept as a solo musician that plays Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys, vocals and does the production and created a narrative thread that in this album is mainly about destroying "The Planet Eraser" which is the bad-guy Chronos's death star like weapon, shrouded in neon black. Chronos is committing a space genocide of the Alignment of Planets and Captain Time Spacer is doing his duty to attempt to end the space genocide. This album is a commentary on current political situations while also creating a new sci-fi universe which will be continued in two more parts over the next 3 or 4 years depending on how long it takes to record them. We have an amazing line-up of legendary vocalists who guest on the album including the fantastic Damian Wilson. I took the formula of early Ayreon albums with guest vocalists and used more of a "Pink Floyd" or "Porcupine Tree" style conceptual album format lyrically so as to not make it a rock opera but something that each song could still be heard out of context, but altogether it makes a more coherent narrative... never bashing the narrative over the listeners head. I did my best to explore dipping into about 9 different sub-genres of metal in the duration of the 18 tracks which hopefully blended together seamlessly while also giving something for everyone. The most extreme track which sounded more like "Ziltoid" was scrapped from the final release with 3 other tracks that just ran the album too long, those will later be released as a b-sides EP. - Kenneth Joseph Spaziani | ||
