덴마크 출신 Thrash Metal 밴드 Artillery의 데뷔 앨범. 보통 스래쉬 메탈 하면 미국이 생각난다. Metallica나 Slayer, Overkill, Testament 등 80년대 스래쉬 메탈씬에서 굵직한 활동을 했던 대부분의 밴드는 거의 미국 출신들이었다. 여기에 Kreator나 Sodom, Destruction 같은 독일권 밴드들이 일정부분의 지분을 차지하고 있을 뿐, Thrash Metal은 미국 밴드들의 독무대였다. Artillery는 흔치않은 덴마크산 스래쉬 메탈 밴드로 80년대에 그 나름의 발자취를 남긴 밴드중 하나이다. 이들이 데뷔 앨범 Fear of Tomorrow를 발표했던 85년은 스래쉬 메탈이 본격적으로 헤비 메탈씬에서 주류의 위치에 서기위한 용트림을 하던 시기였다. 그러나 아직도 스래쉬 메탈은 완전하게 무르익지는 않았다. Artillery의 데뷔 앨범에는 아직 덜 여문 스래쉬 메탈의 과도기적 사운드가 남아있다. 스래쉬 메탈 특유의 거친 리프는 잘 살아있기는 하지만, 본작에서는 일반적인 스래쉬 메탈에 비해 멜로디를 강조하는 Speed Metal의 영향이 짙게 묻어나고 있다. 앨범 커버만 보면, 뭔가 대단히 살벌한 무언가를 들려줄 것 같지만, 아쉽지만 Fear of Tomorrow는 생각보다 강력한 사운드를 들려주고 있지는 않다. 대신 이 밴드는 데뷔 앨범에서 상당히 탄탄한 구성을 보여주고 있어 나름의 만족감을 청자에 ... Artillery na svojom debutovom albume "Fear of Tomorrow" predkladajú podarenú porciu Thrash Metal -u s občasnými Speed -ovými prvkami. Je to neuveriteľné, ale dané album bude mať o 2 roky (rok 2025) 40 rokov. Pritom je stále dosť tvrdé a aktuálne. Piesne sú plné energie, rýchlosti, ale aj zmien tempa a podarených nápadov. Kvalitný je taktiež predný obal albumu.

Some really great Thrash Metal here that somehow still goes under the radar. Surprisingly heavy for it's time and absolutely no filler.
