I have really mixed feelings here. If you hear just a second or two, it sounds like pretty good war metal, but it really needs more variety; even 15 seconds can already get repetitive. The rateyourmusic geniuses say this is the best war metal album ever - what a site of tourists. I just loved getting an earful of what these Kenyan artists do with industrial, grindcore, and other metal influences. It ends up being quite different from what we usually hear from other regions. Rateyourmusic.com thinks this is the #2 greatest mathcore album. I really don't agree, and it started to test my patience, but I did feel the 2nd half of the record started getting a lot more interesting and I was getting into it a lot more. Good songs here. There's a ton of variety in the types of vocals, and one kind of male clean vocals feels very awkward, so there is a somewhat negative aspect. Not terrible, but it drags the quality down just a little.   May 19, 2024

I see here on metalkingdom.net this one ranks as one of Converge's weakest. On RYM they think it's near the top mathcore releases of all time. To my ear it's between those extremes. Pretty fun & energetic music that I'm guessing is quite challenging too.   May 19, 2024

개인적으로 이 앨범을 그렇게 좋아하지 않는다. 이 앨범이야 말로 방향성이 애매했던 프로듀싱과 작곡으로 생각보다 안좋네 라고 생각했던 앨범. 물론 메탈 갓이 주다스의 시그니쳐로 쓰이기는 한데 이 곡도 애매하다. 브레이킹 더 로나 리빙도 맘에 안들고 물론 관중과 싱어롱할때는 좋긴 하다고 생각은 하지만 말이다. 75-80점.6번 8번이 의외로 좋다.   May 8, 2024

만약 "드림시어터"의 음악으로 본 다면 이 앨범은 DT중 가장 쳐지고 가벼운 음반이 될 것이다, 만약 드림시어터의 "음악"으로 본 다면 이 앨범은 재즈,블루스 등을 잘 버무려 본인들만의 스타일을 접목시켜 만들어낸 이색적인 작품이 될 것이다. 물론 호불호가 당연히 있을것이다. 하지만 이 앨범은 망작이라는 평가를 받기에는 수려한 곡들이 가득가득 들어차있다.   May 18, 2024
