Did I become stuck in a Murphy's Law rut? I expected this album not to take the metal seriously enough. Good thing I was wrong. That excellent first track is exactly what I want from doomgaze. Now there's some variety on the album, and it's not like each song is on the same level, but it's good music throughout, and the singer has the perfect touch.   Mar 10, 2024

Simple in a way that just makes all the songs work so efficiently, while creating the perfect space for thrash riffing. I prefer this one over Cause for Alarm. Their shows in the late 80s must've been insane.   Mar 10, 2024

Fun, and it makes me feel cool. There's a lot of electronica, and the vocals have a robot effect on them. I can enjoy that formula. Now it's time for Vvon Dogma I to write better material because a more powerful album along these lines would be just fantastic.   Mar 10, 2024

Piano & trap beats for an intro to a slam album? Now I've heard everything. He does go too far with the zany clips/samples, but I can forgive that when it's done in the name of fun and when the music is this good. The worst I can describe Hopiumforthemasses is that it's sticking completely to a formula that has worked very well for Minsitry for decades, and that the songs are essentially good but could've used a little retooling or maybe just a couple more takes with the intent to push it as far as it goes. Kinda deathcore too, and that element brings a very rich heaviness with none of the cringe and phoniness that deathcore and metalcore are often cursed with. If you are interested in those genres and/or mathcore, I highly recommend this.   Mar 10, 2024

Really soaring doom & heavy metal melodies. Out of all the mistakes that can show up on an album, Lucifer has made none here. That fact makes the songs extremely replayable even though I won't rank it at the highest level. Also, it's better to skip the alternate versions of tracks 2 and 6; no need to hear them more often than the other tracks.   Mar 5, 2024

Catching up on recent war metal / blackdeath has been a very rewarding experience. There are some sinister vibes and gloom here, but mostly it's an overbearing frenzy of pummeling. 2021 was an amazing year for atmospheric black metal, and this masterpiece could have topped the genre on some other years. It's an improvement on his 2020 debut. The ambient interludes are better, the melodies & transitions are even more astounding, and that guitar sound is perfect. Nature worship with melancholy but it's full of energy and danger as well. 리치가 베이스를 1–3, 6를 연주했다. 그 외의 스튜디오는 밥 데이즐리 연주. 어렸을 때에는 1,5를 굉장히 좋아했었는데 문제는 5를 라센 시기에는 듣질 못했었다. 지금은 오히려 4번 같은 곡이 애청곡이 되었다. 앨범으로 기준으로도 1,2집보다 더 좋아했던 기억이 있다. 8번은 역시나 디오의 또 다른 보컬 맛을 느끼기 좋은 곡. 디오 재적시의 앨범은 영원할 것 같다.   Apr 20, 2024

3인조 코로너의 전 앨범 특히 2,3,4집을 좋아합니다. 옛날에 3집을 LP로 구입했었는데 속지에 시계, 스위스, 큰 글자로 '그로테스크' 라고 적힌 기억이.. 이후 90년대 중후반에 걸쳐서 전 앨범을 시디로 하나씩 모았죠. 30년간 신보를 안 내고 재결성 후에 아직도 활동하는 것도 특이한데, 그만큼 고정팬들이 많다는거 거겠죠.   Apr 25, 2024

개인적으로 이 앨범을 그렇게 좋아하지 않는다. 이 앨범이야 말로 방향성이 애매했던 프로듀싱과 작곡으로 생각보다 안좋네 라고 생각했던 앨범. 물론 메탈 갓이 주다스의 시그니쳐로 쓰이기는 한데 이 곡도 애매하다. 브레이킹 더 로나 리빙도 맘에 안들고 물론 관중과 싱어롱할때는 좋긴 하다고 생각은 하지만 말이다. 75-80점.6번 8번이 의외로 좋다.   May 8, 2024
