Cosmicism 90/100Wow. There are some pornogrind moments, but this album is a well-played exploration of where the lines between genres blur, even at times sounding almost black 'n roll, war metal. or raw black metal. Based on their earlier album covers, I don't know if I want to hear all of their material, but this veteran band has some real skills and deserves respect. Apr 12, 2024

Cosmicism 75/100Even though the title track is so legendary, it's underwhelming for me. It has a couple of good points but it ends without doing enough. Kickstart My Heart is definitely better, but still not great. The other songs were okay. The production is perfect though and the drumming is pro. Cosmicism 90/100I was pleased to learn that this is slightly better than their excellent 2011 album Cabale. It has the atmosphere I came to them for, but it's not lost on me how friggin' heavy this is as well. Their bandcamp page says they're working on new material. I really hope it's the truth. Cosmicism 95/100Extremely evocative atmospheric black metal bound to be a highlight of 2024. Those masterful guitar tones could be from some top-tier post-metal. The vocal style works so perfectly with the moods of the songs. My pick of the day without a doubt. Apr 8, 2024
Cosmicism 95/100It's all good, but track 3 just captivates me with that mid-tempo paired with a slow groove. The bass is the star of the composition for sure, but everything else is excellent too. Cosmicism 70/100This is a lot like The Black Album plus Nickelback. I like The Black Album, but considering Nickelback's awful music, I'm surprised I didn't hate this album. It's okay, but I don't find it so genuine. Maybe if you're into commercial radio hard rock you'll like this a lot more than I did. Apr 8, 2024

caLintZ 90/100군터 베르노의 부재가 오히려 곡의 diversity가 증가하는 방향으로 귀결되어 조금 변화된 VP를 느낄수있다. 그 와중에 코어는 전혀 흔들리지 않고 너무나 탄탄한 장르의 전형을 보여주는 뛰어난 앨범이다. 이들 특유의 늘어짐이 가끔은 지루하기도 하지만, 이정도 내공에 이정도 앨범을 찍어내는 이들은 결코 없으므로, 이제 당연히 명예의 전당에 입성해야 한다. May 10, 2024

Iconoclast 90/100드디어 이들의 약점이었던 절제된 기타솔로가 어느정도 해금되었습니다. 지난 앨범도 만족스러웠는데 역시나 이번에도 실망하지 않게 해주네요. 나이가 들어감에 따라 내가 좋아하는 밴드들도 하나둘씩 늙어가고 멤버들도 세상을 떠나는 걸 보니 매우 슬프네요. 반덴플라스는 계속 음악활동 왕성히 해주었으면 좋겠습니다 May 8, 2024

metalnrock 75/100개인적으로 이 앨범을 그렇게 좋아하지 않는다. 이 앨범이야 말로 방향성이 애매했던 프로듀싱과 작곡으로 생각보다 안좋네 라고 생각했던 앨범. 물론 메탈 갓이 주다스의 시그니쳐로 쓰이기는 한데 이 곡도 애매하다. 브레이킹 더 로나 리빙도 맘에 안들고 물론 관중과 싱어롱할때는 좋긴 하다고 생각은 하지만 말이다. 75-80점.6번 8번이 의외로 좋다. May 8, 2024

ColdWinter 95/100천재라 불렸던 자들은 진짜 총기가 불을 뿜는 때가 있다. 이시절의 나가쉬가 그랬다. 전작과 너무 다른 이앨범으로 전작에 버금가는 놀라운 사운드를 만들어냈다. 일렉트로니카와 익스트림을 섞어 부대찌개처럼 절묘한 융합의 새로운 맛을 냈다. 이렇게 세기말을 통과했던 이들은 너무 빨리 미래로 넘어갔다. 25년이 넘어도 여전히 미래적이다. May 14, 2024
