The first track was a little weak to me, but this album gets right back into barrage of futuristic fury. There's a lot of kinds of electronic music in these songs. At times it sounds to me like trance metal with, and there is some djent. Anyway, the last track, the one with vocals, is especially nice, and there are many other great highlights.   Jan 17, 2024

It's kind of like cheating. Tom forms Hellhammer, hones his musical skills, and then the first Celtic Frost EP is this excellent. Every second of this release is a complete blast. I'm very glad I gave this band a try, because this album has great vocals, atmosphere, guitar tone, melodies, tightness, and even cover art. Lovecraftian themes always help too. The first six songs are all in heavy rotation on classic rock radio to this day, and with good reason. The 2nd half of this album really drags down my rating - talk about filler. Anyway, there is a million good things to say about the first half; lyrics that get playful with puns, dialects, & registers, awesome guitar work, beats and production that draw influence from new wave. Good songwriting. Excellent demonic atmosphere. The vocals get too croaky for me at some points. Their 2nd album was a bit better. Also, this album cover is wonderful and I want to know who created it. It looks like a simple landscape, but the background gets a bit tricky if you just pay attention. Done in extremely good taste. Oh the pain. When the first track started, I thought it might turn out better than I was expecting. Unfortunately this is all as bad as that How You Remind Me song that got airplay. The singer is so bad, only staying in this one annoying tone. The lyrics are 100% embarrassing. The melodies and drumming are anemic, not committing to anything interesting. Track 10 is almost okay, but this is Nickelback living up to its reputation.   Jan 12, 2024

Impressive from start to finish as I often expect with progressive metal, but I found the whole album built to a conclusion on its final moment, like I felt all the songwriting had this end in mind. I enjoyed the whole thing. I hear influence from Koяn, Soulfly, Sepultura, & maybe early Deftones. These guys take their musicianship seriously. I love the funkiness. The rapping is good, the harsh vocals are good, but the clean vocals are weak in comparison. I can only wonder what to think about the French lyrical content. I caught a glimpse of that album cover, and just had to listen. The surprise for me was that it's a new project by some musicians we all know well. This is also my album of the day by far. The atmosphere is heavy and it feels like a tour through a series of emotional traumas. You might feel a bit of punk influence too, if the sadness doesn't camouflage it. A lot of guys used to make fun of Scott Weiland's vocals on this and say anyone can do that voice, but this is the start of a great journey that expanded his range, technique, and charisma. Some songs sound like Alice in Chains & Soundgarden done not as well, but many are good and full of energy. Creep is a great and rare example of a slow song done well. Tracks 8 and 12 are okay, and track 4 is amusing, but this is mostly weak boring & embarrassing with loose instrumentation and predictable everything. The male vocalist doesn't have anywhere near enough charisma, especially with that mediocre vocal range. The female vocals are noticeably better, but she only does 5 or 6 percent of the album. First of all, this album is mostly metalcore and a lot of the tracks feel like forced clichéd filler, including the title track. The singing stays stuck in the same tone & emotion, which feels weird for clean vocals. Please take that effect off her voice as well. Track 5 is like an R&B song with hard rock in back of it, but it's maybe the best on the album. I like track 7 as well, and the rest is meh for me.   Jan 10, 2024

Some good instrumentation here, but I don't hear enough melodic themes to hold the songs together and give them a purpose. 리치가 베이스를 1–3, 6를 연주했다. 그 외의 스튜디오는 밥 데이즐리 연주. 어렸을 때에는 1,5를 굉장히 좋아했었는데 문제는 5를 라센 시기에는 듣질 못했었다. 지금은 오히려 4번 같은 곡이 애청곡이 되었다. 앨범으로 기준으로도 1,2집보다 더 좋아했던 기억이 있다. 8번은 역시나 디오의 또 다른 보컬 맛을 느끼기 좋은 곡. 디오 재적시의 앨범은 영원할 것 같다.   Apr 20, 2024

3인조 코로너의 전 앨범 특히 2,3,4집을 좋아합니다. 옛날에 3집을 LP로 구입했었는데 속지에 시계, 스위스, 큰 글자로 '그로테스크' 라고 적힌 기억이.. 이후 90년대 중후반에 걸쳐서 전 앨범을 시디로 하나씩 모았죠. 30년간 신보를 안 내고 재결성 후에 아직도 활동하는 것도 특이한데, 그만큼 고정팬들이 많다는거 거겠죠.   Apr 25, 2024

개인적으로 이 앨범을 그렇게 좋아하지 않는다. 이 앨범이야 말로 방향성이 애매했던 프로듀싱과 작곡으로 생각보다 안좋네 라고 생각했던 앨범. 물론 메탈 갓이 주다스의 시그니쳐로 쓰이기는 한데 이 곡도 애매하다. 브레이킹 더 로나 리빙도 맘에 안들고 물론 관중과 싱어롱할때는 좋긴 하다고 생각은 하지만 말이다. 75-80점.6번 8번이 의외로 좋다.   May 8, 2024
