My most played album #379. Alice Cooper - Welcome to my Nightmare. the eighth studio album by Alice Cooper, released in March 1975 it sold a million! Tony Levin on bass for 3 songs, Bob Ezrin production keys and song writing and Vincent Price – The Curator. Cooper's only album for the Atlantic Records. Most of Lou Reed’s band joined Cooper for this record. Dick Wagner – Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Vocals, Steve Hunter – Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Prakash John – Bass, Pentti "Whitey" Glan – Drums. The best songs are; Welcome to My Nightmare, The Black Widow, Only Women Bleed, Department of Youth and Escape.

앨리스쿠퍼는 Avantasia 프로젝트에 객원보컬로 참가하여 Toy master 란 곡에서 처음 목소리를 들었었다. 뭔가 괴기스럽고 유치하기도 한 그 목소리, 왠지 하드락에 편히 부르는 그 목소리가 참 맘에 들었고 그래서 그의 음반중 하나인 요 앨범을 구매했던것이다.
앨범 쟈켓에서 보면 마술사복장을 하고 예의바른 포즈를 취하고 있는데 앨범 진행이 이 쟈켓과 연상하고 듣다보니 마치 마술사가 한 소공연장에서 마술공연을 하는듯한 느낌이 든다. 제목은 nightmare 이지만 일부곡을 제외하고는 흥겹고 밝은 분위기로 음악 전개를 이끌어 나간다. 좀 검색해보니 이 전 7집까지는 괴기스러운 모습이 많았지만 솔로로 전향을 하면서 많이 밝아졌다고.. 한다. 전 음반들도 한번 접해볼 필요가 있을듯 하다. ㅎㅎㅎ
쌍팔년도 시절의 유치함과 촌스러운 사운드가 너무나도 와닿는 흥겨운 하드락 음반!!
