티모 톨키의 새로운 프로젝트로 시작된 Avalon. 누가 봐도 Avantasia의 냄새가 물씬 풍기는 모양새지만 기본 노선은 전혀 다르다. 심포닉 파워 메탈로 분류되어 있지만 정작 수록된 곡들은 여타의 프로젝트에 비해 결코 심포닉하지 않으며, 오히려 Ayreon의 느낌이 살아있다. 앙그라의 Andre Matos, 헬로윈과 감마레이의 전 드러머 Uli Kusch 등과 결합하여 만든 Symfonia가 빈약한 투어 일정과 판매고로 해체된 이후 새롭게 돌아온 모양새이지만 Stratovarius 탈퇴 이후 계속되는 톨키의 매너리즘은 여전한 것으로 보인다. 90년대 멜파메 계열에서 들려주던 코드 진행과 현란한 속주에 기반을 둔 기타 솔로라는 공식이 전곡에서 펼쳐지고 있으며, 보컬들의 경우 은근히 쥐어짠듯한 느낌을 받을 수 밖에 없다. Amaranth의 보컬 Elize Ryd와의 궁합은 어느정도 괜찮아 보이는 반면, Russel Allen의 탁성은 기타와 안 맞는 분위기. 애초에 테크닉과 송라이팅 자체로는 유럽 메탈씬에서 최상위 클래스를 자랑하는 톨키인 만큼, 앨범이 전체적으로 구성력이 나쁘지는 않다. 그럼에도 불구하고 포인트가 살아있지 못한 점이 아쉬울 뿐이다.

Timo Tolkki sa v poslednom čase potýka s viacerými problémami, od depresívnych, cez alkoholové, atď. Tým asi stratil sympatie viacerých fanúšikov, ale ja sa viac sústredím na jeho hudbu.
