Esa Holopainen je dlhoročný a zároveň aj zakladajúci člen Amorphis, pričom Silver Lake je jeho sólový počin, na ktorý pozval množstvo hosťujúcich muzikantov (prevažne vokalistov). Oproti domovskej kapela je album viac atmosférické a Rock -ové, no stále má dosť styčných plôch s domovskou kapelou. Každá z piesní obsahuje množstvo silných a melodických nápadov, pričom hudba sa ľahko počúva a nápady sú dobre zapamätateľné. Ak má Esa Holopainen viac takýchto piesní v "šuflíku", hádam to nebude jeho posledné sólové album. Jednoznačne odporúčam.

So this is an excellent album that I completely overlooked at the time of its release. A friend played it for me the other day and I was totally blown away. This is the first album by Esa Holopainen, who is a member of the legendary Finns Amorphis.

So good. I am glad that Esa got the chance to fully develop some of the ideas that were outside of the Amorphis vision, because this is just fantastic.
