올해 15년만의 Last Days of Humanity 정규가 발매되고, 거장은 아직 죽지 않았다는 것을 체감하며 아직까지도 감격에 겨운 이 찰나, 또 다른 엄청난 소식을 접했다. 브라질 고어그라인드의 전설이자, 이들만의 Pathological Goregrind를 세상에 널리 퍼뜨려 고어그라인드계에 새로운 바람을 불게 한 대부인 Lymphatic Phlegm의 정규도 14년만에 발매되었다는 소식이다. 개인사정상 소식이 늦었지만, 더 늦기전에 알아채고 또 다시 대부의 복귀에 들뜬 마음으로 신보를 감상할 수 있게 되어 몹시 기쁘다. 대체 이게 무슨 해인지, 또다른 감감무소식인 거장 밴드들의 신보를 기대하게 만드는 소식이다.
다른 거장 밴드들의 신보도 기대하게 만드는 이유는 단순 복귀 때문은 당연히 아니다. 전성기 시절 본인 밴드의 이름을 내걸어도 부끄럽지 않을 작품만을 연달아 선보였기 때문이다. 특유의 극악무도함을 다시 한 번 선보인 LDoH와 같이 예전 Lymphatic Phlegm 특유의 공포스러운 리프의 반복으로 극도의 음산함을 만들어 주며 이 분위기를 적절히 유지하는 능력을 절대 잃지 않고, 오히려 더욱 공포스럽고 살벌하게 바뀌어 돌아왔다. 오랜기간 활동해온 이들이 어쩜 계속해서 진화 뿐인지 의문이 들 정도이다.
