Dealing with Demons, Volume II

DevilDriver need to depart from the standard pattern that they have developed through the years. This album sounds like the band has no volition to develop their musicality. I admit that their groove metal style once dominated the metal community, which means that there must be tons of people who love that style. But clinging to the same style for over 10 years without any musical progress cannot be applauded by critics even though their loyal fans may still like it.

It has some good moments, but there are far too many vocals, so they often feel without purpose to me. The macho stuff gets a bit tiresome too. Nothing terrible though, so it's somewhat good.
