Alice Cooper is hands down one of the greatest live acts in the history of hard rock music. If you have ever been to an Alice live show you know what I mean and will be blown away (by the way even in 2021 he still is as good as ever)

However, Alice has stated his 1977 live release, The Alice Cooper Show, is the only album he ever made that he does not particularly like. The reason has nothing to do with the music. During this time, Alice was struggling with alcohol addiction and was basically forced by his then record label to come back and do a live album while he was not healthy. Not to worry Alice fans, his vocals sound good on the album and the band sounds good as well. Many of his best known 70's hits up to this point are here so you will get songs from the Love It to Death album all the way through his Lace and Whiskey album.

I gave this album an 85 for a few reasons. One though Alice sounds fine on the album there seems to be a lack of energy in some of the songs compared to what you normally get from Alice which is understandable considering what he was going through at the time and the setlist doesn't really contain any surprises here. One of the great things about Alice shows his willingness to throw in a few deep cuts which you don't really get here.

Still a solid live album though I would recommend A Fistful of Alice or other live albums he has done more. Fortunately Alice cleaned himself up for good around 1983 and continues to dominate hard rock to th

muy bueno Alice en directo

A good solid live album. Alice has a good backing band here though I do think a couple of his later live albums are even better than this one, still the songs sound good here.

Alice has said this was a live album he didn't want to do at the time and came from a couple of added on shows. It is a little bit short but Alice and the band sound good.

Alice claimed this live album was made because his record label at the time demanded it and was recorded during an already lengthy tour. Regardless Alice sounds great though it is surprising it isn't a longer album.

Alice's vocals are spot on with this live album.

Alice has called this the only album he ever did he doesn't like. This live album was one he didn't want to do but his record label made him do a couple of extra shows at the end of a long tour. The songs actually sound fine and Alice sounds good but it doesn't rock as loud as you expect from Alice.
