My most played album #1073. Queen - Live at Wembley '86. Perhaps the best live performance ever recorded? Recorded on their last tour, the “A Kind of Magic tour”. A solid mix of best hits, a few great deep cuts and a few covers. The band was really on this night and the recording is top quality! They open with the big hit "One Vision" then tease you with some lesser known songs, "Tie Your Mother Down", "In the Lap of the Gods... Revisited" and "Seven Seas of Rhye". Then they blast out 6 major hits proving why they are one of the best. A one of a kind guitar solo only Brian May could do. Then signature lead vocal solo / sing along as part of "Now I'm Here" that only Freddie Mercury could do. Then they mellow it out with their soft hits and an acoustic set including the covers "Hello Mary Lou", "Tutti Frutti" and "Gimme Some Lovin" I usually hate it when a band with too many hits does covers but this really fits in with their show. They then blast you with more monster hits get silly with "Big Spender" then end the show with more hits. Several versions have been released from this show. The album was released on 26 May 1992, the companion DVD released in June 2003, the remastered and re-released version with bonus tracks in August 2003 and A remastered special edition DVD was released on 5 September 2011 in the UK for the first time included the Friday evening concert in addition to the Saturday night show.
