Come enter the masquerade
As the head guest of this foul charade
Before the crowd you appear
Clothed in white for you they cheer

The crown sacrifice
To appease the gods

The chosen one, goat without horns
A mockery of the crown of thorns

All eyes on you, just play your part
From this earth you'll soon depart
Follow the path, don't break the norm
Do not stifle the trance of the swarm

Around the altar the obscured elders stand
Behind one mask a river of tears is shed

You wear the veil of pretense to hide the aching core
The pain will not kill you, it will make you whole
