Cheerless eyes stare to the sky
Where gloomy clouds swallow the blue

As darkness feeds upon our guilt
A mighty shade infolds the light
Gives way to the endless night

Ashes fall out of these clouds
Cover everything with oppressive gray

Paralyzed we watch our end
So many failures we have caused

Unconcerned we step to our graves
