It is not an easy album to affix to a genre label. This release is so experimental in a blackened way. Each of the four tracks is at least 15 minutes long and is a complex self-contained musical universe in itself, based on a raw melodic and ritualistic black metal foundation, on which atmosphere and mood build through repetition, with elements from other genres being added in a sparing way that complements the dominant black metal genre. It is a fantastic album overall.
