Decapitated!

In those days John the Baptist came
Preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying:
"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near"
It is written in the book of the Isaiah:

"A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
Prepare the way for the Lord,
Make straight paths for him.
Every valley shall be filled in,
Every mountain and hill made low.
The crooked roads shall become straight,
The rough ways smooth.

And all people will see God's salvation."

Brood of vipers
Hypocrites
Pharisees and Sadducees
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance

"Because every tree that does not produce good fruit
Will be cut down and thrown into the fire."

Then the new Elijah, imprisoned and chained
Taken captive for telling the truth
Hated by a wicked woman
Using your own daughter
To reach the king and ask:

"Give me on a platter the head of John, the Baptist!"

Beheaded!
Decapitated!
