99은 조지 루카스 감독의 영화 thx 1138에서 영감을 받고 만든 곡으로 영화와 분위기가 비슷하다. 앨범 자체는 전작이 플래를 찍은 반면 골드를 찍었다. 이 곡이 싱글 컷 되면서 가사의 난해성 때문에 앨범 전체 판매량에 영향을 준 듯. 음악에 있어서 가사는 그 다음이라고 생각하지만 무시할 수 만은 없나보다. 음악은 사실 좋은 앨범.
