메탈 오페라 컨셉 앨범으로 파워메탈 범주로 알려진 버진스틸의 9번째 앨범이자 이들의 최고작이라 평가되는 앨범이다. 파워메탈의 범주에만 소속되기에는 심포닉하기도 프로그래시브하기도 오페라틱 하기도한 다양한 스타일을 고루 느낄수 있는 독특한 앨범중 하나이다. 우선 가사를 느끼지는 못하여 아쉽지만 아트레우스의 비극? 정도로 칭할만한 중세 시대 를 컨셉으로 한 메탈 오페라 앨범이다. 가사와 함께 하는 감동은 전곡 번역 가사집이 있기에 가능은 하지만 귀차니즘으로 시도해보지는 않았다. 뭐 내용은 아쉬운대로 가사 없이도 충분히 전율을 느끼기 모자람이 없는 명반임은 분명하다. 중간에 보컬이 혼자 독백하듯하는 부분이나 절규하는 부분도 다양한 오케스트라 및 악기연주들과 함께 긴장을 고조시키기도 하며 긴 시간동안 지루함 느낄틈없이 앨범을 즐길수 있도록 정말 잘 만들어내었다.
중세적인 느낌이나 컨셉앨범, 심포닉, 프로그래시브, 파워메탈을 즐긴다면 꼭 들어보길 추천한다.
