Nevermore - kapela, ktorá vznikla po rozpade inej kvalitnej skupiny: Sanctuary. Druhé album " The Politics of Ecstasy" je jedným z najlepších albumov nie len v roku 1996, ale aj celkovom metalovej scény. Zvuk albumu je krásne tvrdý, pritom čitateľný pre všetky nástroje. Štýl na albume je prevažne Power Metal, avšak piesne čerpajú aj z Thrashu, Prog. a Groove Metalu, dokonca občas idú až do doom -u (pieseň Passenger). Ani jedna pieseň nenudí, sú plné zmien tempa, vyhrávok a riffov - Jeff Loomis nie nadarmo patrí medzi uznávaných gitaristov, druhého gitaristu Pat O'Brien si neskôr stiahla iná známa metalová skupina. Nerobia im problém ani inštrumentálne veci, ako kvalitná "Precognition". Warrel Dane na albume predvádza svoje najlepšie spevácke umenie, aj keď skôr využíva svoj stredný melodický spev a nejde za každú cenu do výšok. Jim Sheppard - bassgitara má veľký podiel na hutnosti a kvalite hudby. A potom je tu Van Williams - výborný technický a pestrý pán bubeník. Proste výborné technické a tvrdé album.
