Additional notes
G.I.S.M. were notorious for their confrontational attitude and violent live performances; frontman Sakevi was known for being particularly dangerous and unpredictable during live shows. Sakevi's live antics include running into the crowd with a chainsaw, attacking front rows with a lit flamethrower, beating random concertgoers with a club, and firing gun shots on stage with a revolver. Sakevi is also known to attack journalists and photographers who try to approach him.

G.I.S.M. stands for various things:
- Grubby Incest Stripper Mastitis (on Detestation, CD)
- God in the Schizoid Mind (on Military Affairs Neurotic)
- Gay Individual Social Mean (on Subj and Egos)
- Genocide Infanticide Suicide Menticide (on Sonicrime Therapy, CD)
- Gnostic Idiosyncrasy Sonic Militant (on Sonicrime Therapy, Booklet)
- Guerrilla Incendiary Sabotage Mutineer (on Sonicrime Therapy, Sticker)
- General Imperialism Social Murder (on Human Condition, Bootleg)
- Gravity Impel Slaying Machine (on Live Tokyo 1982-1983, Bootleg, Front)
- Get Incinerated Sorrow Mass (on Live Tokyo 1982-1983, Bootleg, Back)

G.I.S.M. appeared on several Japanese hardcore punk samplers from 1982 til 1984:
- "Incest", "Gash", "Bite", "Snatch" and "Aahb" on Outsider (City Rocker, 1982)
- "Death Exclamations" and "Fire" on Great Punk Hits (Japan Records, 1983)
- "Still Alive" and "Nervous Corpse" Hardcore Unlawful Assembly (AA Records, 1984)
- "Endless Blockades for the Pussyfooter" on P.E.A.C.E. (R Radical Records, 1984)
- "Shoot to Kill" "G.I.S.M." on The Punx (JICC, 1985)

Since original G.I.S.M. releases are limited, countless bootlegs appeared and some of them are rarities too:
- Anarchy Violence / Victorious / Viva Angel (Japanese Leather, 1991)
- Death Exclamations (Japanese Leather (?), 1991)
- Nih Nightmare (JPC, 1995)
- Performance of War (Performance Corps, 1998)
- Human Condition (Absolute Power, 1995)

Sakevi released a solo EP, named "The War", on Beast Arts in 2004 under the name S.K.V. (short for: "Swastika Kozmic Victorz"). He also has his own clothing label, named stLTH®. He personally designes all artwork for his brand. He also designed the sleeve for the "Outsider" compilation LP, released in 1982. In 2006, Sakevi designed the artwork for hardcore band World Burns To Death's new album entitled "Totalitarian Sodomy".
