To Starve the Cross Lyrics

1. Village of Flickering Torches (4:46)
Genesis of a bloodletting earth to surpass the
howling moonlight. Haunted hearts pioneer
skythoughts. Glimmering dream of life
unfurled. The path we have traveled exhausted
the torches. Daggers carve earth to its veins.
Remnants flow through the sieve fathomless.
Nature brought the sword and madness still.
Nine thralls to the sulphurous night. A village
of flickering torches. The blacksmith crafts
the crescent jaw. Drowsy wings in the dust
of shade. Sweet perfume of tainted delights.
Skeletons sway in nonchalance. For we are and
forever shall be, distant poets of the lost science.
Loathsome life tender as the lamb. Innocence
bled the ivory blade. The path we have traveled
exhausted the torches. Flickering eternal.
2. Pangaea Reforms (5:34)
Pangaea reforms and organisms perish. All
lands will soon unite within times passed
ancient. Accretion of polar drifts that Ultima
yearns for. Lava flowing from cracked crust
as pale blood. Horrid cremation befalls as a
plague. Its flesh speaks through veins rooted
within earth. Mantle suspended in a trance
of scars. Pangaea reforms and organisms
perish. Accretion of polar drifts that Ultima
yearns for. The Great Dying approaches slow.
Future species will write of our death. Fossils
exhumed from mountainous realms. The ocean
that swallowed our bones. Lava flowing from
cracked crust as pale blood. Mantle suspended
in a trance of scars.
3. The Sulphur Age (5:32)
Hearts knelt upon sheltered veins. Secrets of soul-altered dawn. Grey winds breathe the mirrors gloss. Cruel to the ones that nourish your wings. Enter the sulphur age. Sharp moments quell temple reflections. Radiant stars to the night-glass pulled. Scribbling soft scars on a shapeless soul. Galaxies surrender amidst all trembling nuances passionate; awaking century. Calm is the curse-born plummeting afar. The lair shudders as music paints the wind. Enter the sulphur age. Times eulogy mumbled from abandoned lips. Mirror drips nectar sweet as the chasm implodes.
4. Abyssic Eyes (4:12)
You dream an external facade. The extent of mental projection. Nothing exists beyond self. Skepticism the fuel for paradox. The stimuli that mimics thought. Consequence of nethermind relapse. Traced to neurons in flesh condemned. Idealism transcends thoughts. Nothing can exist beyond one's own physical self. For what passes outside my mind cannot be proven. It's scientific facade. Created within before materialized to a living breathing body. Nothing can exist beyond self. For what passes outside my mind cannot be proven. It's scientific face. A sense of artificial experiences absorbed. Understanding cannot be communicated. Release.
5. A Lord in the Shattered Mirror (6:20)
Dust filled the mouths of martyrs. The pulleys hang our hymns. A lord in the shattered mirror. Sun melting skin as moon tempted man. Heaven, a choir, that broke all the bones and the flesh. Now the truth be sung. The holy curtain falls, begotten of black coven stains that moved sorrow to where laughter once bled freely. Wisdom washed from the wondering. Under glass skies the reason buried silent. Mournful fragrance thy vultures delight. Woe! Mesmerizing the circular shade unborn. Grief upon fields of suns born of death alone. A lord in the shattered mirror. Whence breath receded from dancing sins. Myth turned caricature in bleak mosaic. Mocked by a dismal and drowning god. Vague conscious Christ's canvas splashed. Never put faith in a lord in the shattered mirror.
6. Damp Breeze of Sleeping Veins (4:52)
Silver paths on ceilings. Jagged corner of spine. Irregular wishes suspended from lips. In illness long have ye journeyed. Brows hang heavy with the shadows. Alas! Slumber took you gently with its odor of exposed veins. Time cowered beside tears invisible. Glowing in atmosphere. Clouds choke the choirs. In illness long have ye journeyed. Brows hang heavy with the shadows. Alas! Slumber took you gently. Damp breeze of sleeping veins. Your blind faith found its ocean; Wet with dreams that waterlogged the spirit with pocketfuls of sunlight.
"What knoweth thee of the mountain in the sky?"
Just a mile from the moon. Knee deep in a flurry
of snakes. Lonely shores with thickest skin.
Footprints bold across bones. Damp breeze
of sleeping veins. Silver paths on ceilings.
Jagged corner of spine. Irregular wishes
suspended from lips. In illness long
have ye journeyed. Brows hang
heavy with the shadows. Alas!
Slumber took you gently.
With its odor of exposed
veins. Damp breeze of sleeping veins.
7. Visceral Seas (5:08)
She sang her scars to slumber o' so sweet. The conjuror of vast
consciousness collapse. Earthly fodder of this a last descent
by crooked hands. Winds have stained black the flesh. A
crown of clouds. The sky knelt before soul. Now is the time
to ask day if it dreams of night. Not such lore bittersweet.
As woman with her wings. The ghost that pulled the
moon from its shackled stare. Quiver, lest your courage
ascend once more to the seas. Eyes silent to the swell
and the sweet waters kiss. The empty passing night
that wades through the sanguine sands, cast to woe
in its weeping mortality. Visceral seas. Extinct by our
decrees. Lost within the trees. Scent of life fades
from the breeze.
8. Thou, Beneath Ligaments Foul (4:11)
Mummified with invisible forms. Premonition shines the skin. Embryos in their essence. Where nothing has their glance cursed. Perched strong as a terrible fate. Transform oneness to wonder. Falling long unto chaotic dawn that cleansed our silvered hair. Arrows weep for war. Red rains soak the flight. Drinking of the stream. The oak of endless night. Statues fire-sworn. Winds that chants the hymns. Demons renovate our lucid limbs. Never the thorns linger. Architecture now bled dry. Ravishing satin shade now hung from the kindred noose. Arrows weep for war. Red rains soak the flight. Drinking of the stream. The oak of endless night. Demons renovate our lucid limbs. Mummified with invisible forms. Embryos in their essence. Perched strong as a terrible fate. Falling long unto chaotic dawn.
9. Wounds Immaculate (7:04)
Surely night atmosphere rots forever bleak. It's nourished by wounds in silence speak. Confined to a journey destined to inspire and examined in a fortress of fire. A descent to waters red with limbs at their core that's feared by the ghost and his savage score. She tethered her hair to a sinking ship. A shapeless canvas fed the thunder with an acre of shade. From white marble mortality carved. These worlds of light removed the mask from invisible trance. Thorns glowing gold as serene skin that promised us a deathlike release at the corpse of sundown. Frozen forms behold oneself. Lying with guillotines conscious. Creasing across voided faces. Miracles shall melt as dying prayers. Worms haunt ghosts we trace. Promise this dread a release. As we lieth in thought. To do us harm they wish not. Traverse the painted palace to a swamp solace submerged with unusual shapes absent from earthly sight. As we lieth in thought. To do us harm they wish not. Wounds immaculate. Condemnation never to fade from bodies scorned to masquerade. Their coffin stare that's pale as stars like human forms all born to scars.
10. A Holy Book Scribed by Wolves (6:32)
How could I explain the smell of dust on a faded porcelain moon? The muddy steps that to the lost church pulpit lead. Never to understand for young are your bones now. But oft times severe wears the mask of serene. A holy book scribed by...Death has never sang to your heart. Ghosts, witches. Never have I seen phantom ships sailing sorrowed skies when winter comes with daggers sharp. Someday I will teach you of weakness: Like when oceans do not recede. When earth armed herself with fire. Foul hearts drink of the sermons. Death has never sang to your heart. Ghosts, witches. Never have I seen phantom ships sailing sorrowed skies when winter comes with daggers sharp. What have we learned of fragments of life-worn lips away from twitching in twilight? Send me so sweetly to immortality's shadow. Dear World, gray at the chin! Hell is ripe with sunshine. A holy book scribed by wolves. Feed them a romance. Clanging bells chant their love. A holy book scribed by wolves. From the common tomb. Half glass and half moonlit. A holy book scribed by wolves. Cling to absent commands. Exhaustion is justified. A holy scribed by wolves. Not a doorway left where subconscious can hide. A holy book scribed by wolves. A shipwreck of beasts to haunt the word of god. A holy book scribed by wolves.
