초기 Gothic Metal의 생성과정에서 Paradise Lost의 Gothic 앨범과 더불어 가장 결정적인 역할을 한 My Dying Bride의 명반 Turn Loose The Swans 으로, 당시 완전히 진화된 장르의 완전체를 보여주지 못한 Paradise Lost에 비해서 일찍이 현재의 사운드와 크게 다르지 않은 음악을 들려주었다. 정식으로 키보드, 바이올린 주자를 두는 등 구슬프고 비장미어린 음악으로 후대의 밴드들에게 지대한 영향을 미쳤다. 처량함마저 느껴질 만큼 깊은 외로움을 안겨주는 Sear Me Mcmxciii등 Gothic Metal의 진수를 맛볼 수 있다.

밴드 20주년을 기념하여 Turn Loose The Swans를 포함한 이전작들의 멜로디를 따서 만든 그저그런 앰비언트 앨범.
혹자는 그게 바로 Stainthorpe 보컬링의 매력이라고도 하지만, 개인적으론 한대 때려주고 싶던 예전 보컬링에서 일신하여 나름 괜찮게 바뀐 점은 괜찮았다.
