nové album od "The Gathering - Beautiful Distortion" pokračuje v smere posledných albumov, pričom zvukom a postupmi si spomenulo aj na album z roku 1998 - "How to Measure a Planet?". Osobne má najradšej ich staršiu tvorbu a to druhý, tretí (ich najlepší) a tretí album. Avšak aj keď kapela už nepokračuje v metalových vodách, naďalej vydáva kvalitné albumy, pričom tie sa pohybujú v Alt./Electronic/Atmospheric Rock/Pop -u s prvkami melanchólie

new album "Beautiful Distortion" combines elements of Atmospheric/Electronic Rock and Alternative Rock. Album was produced by Attie Bauw, who was also responsible for "How to Measure a Planet?" and "Home" albums.
