어떠한 장르든 깊이 파다보면, 좀더 마이너한 밴드들을 만나게 된다. 개인적으로는 취향이 거의 메이져 밴드들에 치우쳐져 있는지라, B급 밴드들에 대한 정보는 잘 알지 못한다. 그럼에도 과거에 별다른 족적을 남기지 못했던 밴드들을 발굴하려는 노력을 아끼지 않는 이유는 이따금 정말 괜찮은 밴드들이 걸리기 때문이다. 하지만, 이러한 노력들이 무색할 정도로 결과물이 형편없는 경우가 훨씬 더 많은 실정이다. 이 밴드는 어째서 메이져에 입성하지 못했을까싶을 정도로 아쉬운 밴드도 없었던 것은 아니지만, 대다수의 경우는 B급 밴드로 남아있는게 당연하게 보인다. Razor는 마이너 밴드들 중에서는 두각을 나타낸 존재로 주로 해외메탈 팬들 사이에서 높은 평가를 받고 있다. 그와같은 평가로 인해 상당히 기대하고 있던 작품인데, 이들의 데뷔 앨범 Executioner's Song은 개인적으로 별다른 만족감을 느낄 수 없는 작품이었다. 지저분한 레코딩이야 다수의 팀들이 열악한 실정이었으니 그냥 넘어간다 치지만, 끊임없이 반복되는 리프와 천편일률적인 전개는 귀를 지치게 한다. 왜 이 앨범이 해외 메탈 팬들이 높은 평가를 하는지 이해가 가지 않을 정도로 이 앨범을 듣는 동안은 지겹게만 느껴진다. Executioner's Song is fairly simple album, however I was impressed by its energy and directness. It isn’t the sort of album that is a crucial part of anyone’s collection but it’s a damn fine way to satisfy a hankerin’ for this old school Speed / Thrash Metal music.

debutové album je celkom podarené, štýlovo: heavy/thrash metal, pričom miestami počuť aj odkazy na dirty rock. Jednou slabinou sú však miestami monotónne bicie
