Additional notes
Demifrag is a Turkish hardcore, thrash & death metal band from Istanbul which is the named by two Ottoman language words of DEM (Blood) and IFRAG (Emetic). The band was formed in mid-2008 by guitar & vocals Gurkan KARA (ex-Warevil, Legacy, Cerberus) and guitarist Burak DIKICI (ex-Warevil, Deadleaves), who with help of friends completed the band’s original line-up with bass guitarist Daglar B. KOK (ex- Deadleaves) and drummer Recep GURSES (ex- Deadleaves). In 2009, the band recorded the demo album ‘Apocalypse’ and a year later they self-financed the recording of the EP album ‘APOCALYOSE NOW’, releasing the songs through their Myspace, Reverbnation, Facebook pages. In 2011, drummer Recep GURSES left the band to his own work and education in England. Drummer Evren AYDIN (ex-Reborn) joins the band in 2012 and they started to recording of their new album in 2013…
They are playing a deadly mix of hardcore, death and thrash metal riffs, with a big metal influence, combined with lyrics about feelings of anger, frustration and social criticism, democracy, wars, terrorism, drugs and more about social life...
