The legendary Alice Cooper has seen and done it all in his amazing career. From his early work with the original band to his still thriving solo career and his amazing current band, Alice shows no signs of stopping. In 1988, after putting out two albums (Constrictor and Raise Your Fist and Yell) under MCA Records after being on the Warner Brothers label for many years before that, Alice signed with Epic Records. In 1989, the Trash album was released and produced Alice's biggest song ever, Poison. The album was followed by the brilliant Hey Stoopid album in 1991 and one of his best ever, The Last Temptation in 1994 before Alice left Epic Records. During this time, the label also put out a live Alice video, Trashes the World.
I share all of that because the Epic Years are what you will be hearing on the Classicks album. It features the best songs from all three Epic albums. Songs include Poison, House of Fire, Love's a Loaded Gun, and Stolen Prayer. In addition, there are several of Alice's hits recorded live during his Trashes the World tour. Live versions of classics such as Eighteen and Only Women Bleed are included during the second half of the album. You also get an opportunity to hear a bonus track, Alice covering the old Jimi Hendrix tune, "Fire."
This is a really good Best of album by one of hard rock's true icons.
